Circumcision at 17, is it possible?!

Question: Circumcision at 17, is it possible!?
I'm a 17 year old guy, and I am seriously considering getting circumcised!. I have excess foreskin (trust me), and I find it disgusting!. Although my girlfriend says it's okay, she also said she wouldn't mind if I got circumsised!. This has nothing to do with her preferance, it's just my choice!. My question is, is it safe to get it done at 17 years old!? Also, will it hurt, and if so, for how long!? How much would it cost too!? I know it's a really weird messed up question but I just wanna know!

ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

i myself, was actually thinking the same thing, what conclusion i came to is that i should keep my body natural, the way it was made, there really arent any cons to being uncircumcized, you just need to be cleaner, thats about it, nothin special, the procedure will cause soreness for a few weeks after, and since its permenant surgery, make sure you want it before you get it done!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It has very little risk, but I would not advise it usually for "excess skin"!. There is no real definition of this phrase, but unless your foreskin has more than about one inch (25mm) of skin overhanging the glans, I would consider that within the normal range!. As long as you can retract to clean it, it should not be a problem and some doctors believe that the foreskin has many benefits during sexual activities!. Circumcision removes most of these!. The procedure does not hurt as anaesthetics are given, but the exposed glans is often very sensitive to the rubbing of underwear for a month or so, until it dries up, thickens and desensitizes!.
I am firmly against the circumcision of infants, but for someone of your age, providing you are aware of all the pros and cons from your own research, it is a valid personal lifestyle choiceWww@Answer-Health@Com

The most painful part of being circumcised is having the initial anaesthetic injection into the base of the penis (but that is more uncomfortable than actually painful)!. After that you will not feel any of the circumcision being performed!.

Later, when the anaesthetic has worn off, you may feel a little uncomfortable for a few days as the wound settles down, but again to most men this is not what they would really call painful and is easily dealt with using regular over-the-counter tablets such as Paracetamol or Ibuprofen (don't use Asprin as it slows healing)!.

Long term you will be much more satisfied with your circumcised penis and wonder what the fuss was all about!Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes, circumcision at 17 is possible!. the procedure would be perfromed by a urologist!. you'll have a numbing agent shot into your penis so the urologist can remove the foreskin!. of course this involves stitches which will either be self desolving or stictches you'll have to have removed in a couple of weeks after the procedure!. recovery is about 4 weeks during which you cannot have sex or jerk off!. think long and hard before you have this procedure done!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You'll probably be given pain killers for it, but yes, you're chopping off bits of a very sensitive area, it's going to hurt!. But getting circumcised also comes with several other health and hygiene benefits!. Keep researching, keep in mind the pros and cons and decide for yourself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If a baby's body can handle it, why can't yours!?

As for pain, I dunno, go read the story in the bible where they agreed to let the bad guys live, if all of their men were circumcised!.
To spoil the ending, they killed them all, before they had time to get over the pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you're not having some serious medical issues, there's no way yuou should be considering circumcision!. I wish I had a little excess foreskin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's totally safe and possible to get circumcised at 17!. A guy can get circumcised at any age really!.

From what I've heard/read, they'll give you an anesthetic injection to numb the area (the needle will hurt like any needle)!. So you won't feel the actual procedure!. Afterwards, your glans (penis head) might feel overly sensitive as it's not used to being exposed, and that could cause some pain/discomfort!. It usually becomes desensitized enough that it won't bother you after a month or so!. Also, erections might pull on the stitches which could also be quite painful during the healing process (about 2-4 weeks)!. I don't know how much it'd cost, but a couple hundred dollars at least!.

This isn't a decision you should make lightly!. If it's only for cosmetic (appearance) purposes, I would recommend not going for it!. As long as you're able to pull your foreskin all the way back during an erection, exposing the entire glans, easily and comfortably, there's really no medical reason to get circumcised!.

See the first link for a guy's account who got circumcised at 16 and regretted it!. It might help you make your decision!. You might find the remaining links interesting to read as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's most certainly not a really messed up question!. Most likely the operation will cost a couple hundred dollars!. If you do get it done, you will probably be sore for a few weeks and will be advised to touch that area as little as possible and handle it gently when you need to (like in the shower)!.
The risks of getting a circumcision are infection, but that shouldn't happen if you find a well-trained doctor to do the operation and follow their directions after it is done!. Many claim that a circumsized guy will have a less sensitive glans, but this isn't really proven!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
