Is this normal? Is this normal in a session?!

Question: Is this normal!? Is this normal in a session!?
Ok I am in therapy cause I have Borderline Personality Disorder!.

But I was just wondering if this is normal for my therapist to say!.

1!. I told him I hate him!. i do that a lot on my bad days!. Then he said he doesn't like me either!.
2!. Then he told me another time that sometimes he doesn't like me - something to that affect!.
3!. Whenever I sigh he gets mad at me and almost kicked me out!. He said "i'm not taking this **** anymore"!. I asked what I did and he said I mocked his gesture when I scratched my hand!. I didn't even notice he had scratched his had earlier!.

4!. I don't remember what I said but he said" it's sound like you are trying to start an argument with me"!. Said in a mean scary tone!. I said, no sorry!.

Is this normal!? Yo!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
NOT COOL!

Your therapist is there to provide you support, honesty and contstructive feedback!. Your therapist is supposed to be grounded enough to deal with it on your bad days when you hate him, without reflecting it back to you!.

You are describing an innapropriate theraputic relationship, with the innapropirate behavior coming from your therapist, not from you!.

Fire him!.
Locate a referal service and get someone who is grounded, kind and effective and who will honor you!.

i don't go to a therapist, but that sounds wierd, talk to some other people about this, and i would probably go to a new one and possibly report him, cause a doctor shouldn't act like that Www@Answer-Health@Com

Either he's doing it on purpose because he thinks it can help you OR he's a sucky therapist and you should find a new one cuz he sounds like a jackassWww@Answer-Health@Com

You sound like a very annoying person so his behavior towards you doesn't come as a shock to me!.

i'd suggest you find another theapist to work your issues out withWww@Answer-Health@Com

It seems like your therapist is trying to come down to your level!. He is trying to interact with you, trying to become your friend!. This can be a very good technique or it can be very dangerous!. Do you feel uncomfortable about what he is doing, if you do bring this up in your next session!. Explain to him that what he is doing is making you uncomfortable, and ask him if he could be less "rude"!. He might be happy if you said that to him!. But if all else fails talk to your parents, tell them about how he expresses himself then ask to see a new therapist!. But personally, I think this is a good technique!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
