well idk i speak for myself but im sure many would agree, that whenever i put on my shorts/pants i just let him lay as he wishes!. i never think about where it goes!.!.!.i juss get dressed!.
but when i have a ***** thats a whole nother ball game!. it can be difficult to put on shorts/pants!. i usually do the "12 'o' Clock Tuck", which is where you get it (when it is still hard) and pull it straight up towards your face and tuck it under your belt or waste line, hence the name!.
