Men, what does he mean?!

My ex-boyfriend of 3 and a half years ago (also around the length of the time we were together) calls me out of the blue, which he hasn't, asks really brief questions he doesn't seem to be listening to (ie!. how are you), then directly tells me he has a really good job and how he is single and if I am single!. I feel awkward but give a cheery ambiguous response and a update of the current status of a friend we both knew!. Then he hangs up!. But he always had a habit of coming and going, whenever he likes!. So I don't really know what he means!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
