Such erections are called episodes of Nocturnal Penile Tumescence (NPT)!. These erections come 4 - 5 times a night about the time when dreaming or REM sleep occurs!. Since most of our REM sleep occurs between 4-7 am, so it's likely to wake with an erection!. (The content of the dream has nothing to do with the erection)!.
