For Fathers! Would you have your son circumcised?!

Question: For Fathers! Would you have your son circumcised!?
Ok dads, would you have your son circumcised!? Give me reasons to support your decision!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No, it should be his choice!.

1!. The "cleaner" idea spawns mainly from improper care of the penis!.!.!. by parents, adults, and teens!. Parents think they must pull back the skin to clean it as infants, however, the foreskin is "glued" to the glans and forced separation will cause tears, redness, and infection!. Parents (and adults/teens) then overuse soap because they think the area is so dirty it needs more cleaning, which not only creates problems, but also amplifies any current issues!. Soap removes the bad AND good bacteria, which is why there are special cleaners to get rid of infections (monistat, etc)!. If someone knows about these misconceptions they will avoid most of the issues (which they themselves are creating, the foreskin is trying to do its job)!.

2!. Medically, there is nothing but controversial studies and misconceptions like the "cleanliness" reason!. I will not take a permanent gamble for my son that the PRO studies are right AND that he would actually prefer to have them over being intact!. He will have 15-20 years or MORE before he even starts using his penis!.!.!. during which the studies may clear up!.

3!. Religion and personal preference vary per person, and forcing someone to permanently be the way you like, is wrong!.!.!. they deserve the right to choose what is best for their life and their body!. We dont force ANY other permanent non-medical cosmetic procedure upon our kids!.

4!. When I asked a question here if a woman would want to remove some of her labia if it meant the same benefits as male circ, NO ONE said yes!. This just shows how much personal and cultural bias male circumcision has!.

Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am not a father, but old enough to have the thought of a family on my mind!. If i had a son, i would never, ever have him circumcised!. I am uncut myself, and can't even begin to say how thankful I am that I was not circumcised!. It does protect the head of your penis and makes allows for a more pleasurable experience!. Don't do it - if the kid wants to get circumcised when he's older, then let him make that choice!. You can't go back once you do it!. As for cleanliness - it has never been an issue for me!. Make sure the kid knows to pull the skin back when he pees, and run a little soap/water down there during a bath/shower!. It's just as complicated as washing any other part of your body, so that's a crappy reason to do it!. As one guy said - if you can teach him to brush his teeth, you can teach him to wash himself!.

And for the person talking about having sex with someone twice: I know people that prefer uncut, and hopefully they will have sex with someone they love instead of some random person!. Again, a reason that has no merit!.

On behalf of men - don't do it!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Absolutely not!. The foreskin is a natural and normal part of the penis!. It has been developed over millions of years of human evolution and stood the test of time!. There is no reason to cut off this necessary and essential structure!.
This is elective surgery!. Any surgery carries risks of injury or death, and there is nothing to justify this risk!.
At birth, the foreskin and glans are attached!. Performing circumcision at birth rips these structures apart, causing serious pain and injury to the infant!.
After circumcision, the baby has an open wound on the genitals, surrounded by urine and fecal matter in the diaper - an unnecessary invitation to infection!.
Destroying the foreskin by circumcision discards sexually responsive tissue - about 14 square inches of the adult structure, as well as distorting the normal structure of the penis!. The destruction of the protective nature of the foreskin also dulls the responsiveness of the remaining exposed glans, as it dries out and thickens to protect itself!.
Elective surgery of this type upon humans should only be done with the informed consent of the recipient!. Babies are not able to give informed consent, and they should not be deprived of part of their body without that consent!.
The argument that a circumcised penis is easier to keep clean is a red herring!. We don't cut off noses so we don't have to clean nostrils, and we don't cut off ears to make it easier to clean the ear canal!.
The scarring and damage inherent in infant circumcision can lead to skin tags, scars, and other deformities in the organ that remains!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nope, never!. I don't know if people realize this, but their child's penis doesn't belong to them!. My son, when I choose to have one, will remain intact, because his penis is attached to his body, and not mine!. I can wash his penis in his young years as well as easily teach him how to keep it clean when he gets older, that kinda stuff is easy and kind of expected with parenting!. By leaving my son intact, I'm allowing him to make his own decisions about circumcision!. If he's done his research when he's older and decides that he wants to get circumcised, that's his choice, not mine or my spouse's!. If I were to circumcise my son and he were to research it and find out that he wanted to be uncut, he'd be pretty pissed at me for making such a decision without his consent, and I'd rather not upset my son, so that's why I'm all about letting him make his own choices!. If he messes up, it'll be his fault, not mine!. Another reason that I'll leave him intact is that the uncut penis is more sensitive than a circumcised one!. Humans are sexual creatures, no one can deny that, and to reduce the pleasure that my son will get from sex, that would be going against human nature; I want my son to get the most out of sex, because everyone wants the best sex they can get!. I know I do!. So, yeah, my son will remain intact, for his sake and the betterment of his sex life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Never!. Fathers who love their sons don't mutilate them!.

Male genital mutilation aka circumcision is an atrocity!.

It damages the penis and sexual sensitivity and ability!. It destroyed my sex life, as the nerve damage inflicted on me destroyed more than the usual amount of sensitivity!.

Restoring my foreskin has restored much of my sensitivity, and gives me a more natural and normal appearance, also!.

A foreskin is not a birth defect; it is a birthright!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, I wouldn't!. Here's why:

- The latest statistics show the number of boys being circumcised in the US nowadays is at an all-time low of 57%!. In some regions, it is well below 50%!. This is compared to 90% a few decades ago, so the "being different in the locker room" issue no longer exists!.
http://www!.associatedcontent!.com/article!.!.!.

- Circumcision is now considered medically unnecessary!. The American Academy of Pediatrics does not recommend it, saying "it is not essential to the child's current wellbeing!."
While it is being recommended to help fight the HIV epidemic in Africa, the same recommendation cannot be applied to Developed Countries, where sanitation and contraception is widely available!.

- UTIs occur in only 1% of intact males!. Circumcising does not effectively prevent this!.
- Penile cancer occurs in only 0!.0001% of intact males!. Circumcising does not effectively prevent this!.
- And it does not effectively prevent the common STDs:
http://www!.jpeds!.com/article/S0022-3476(!.!.!.

- The foreskin is not just a useless flap of skin!. It has many protective, sensory and sexual functions, and since the invention of the shower, its real easy to keep clean!.
http://www!.noharmm!.org/mothering!.htm

- Your baby's intact penis requires NO special attention!. You don't need to carefully clean under the foreskin fifty times a day! He'll discover his foreskin whenever he's ready (which may not be fully retractable until the age of 10yrs) and its simply a case of educating him about the importance of personal hygiene!.

I am not a Father, but I AM a Mother and BOTH of my boys are intact and the exact way that they were born!. Why!? Why mess with something that isn't broken in the first place!? There are reasons why nature put the foreskin on the glans for such things as protection and sexual pleasure!.

What made me choose not to!? First thing was to watch a circumcision of a newborn online!. Talk about gruesome and the fact that the baby was in so much shock that they PASSED OUT was the clincher for me!. And they DO pass out!. The medicine is very rarely given a chance to work and most times it is only TOPICAL!.!.not really pain medicine, so it doesn't really work anyway!.

Don't think they are passed out!? Cut yourself down there without any pain medicine and let me know how it turns out!.

There is also a risk of gangrene and blood loss due to the surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

NO, and for the dumb *****, girls don't always get turned off, it's NATURAL to have a foreskin!.!.!.it's a part of your penis that's SUPPOSED to be there!.!.!. Foreskin was made to provide sensation, if you cut it off, sexual pleasure is decreased, also in some cases may cause the penis to grow abnormally!.!.!. So don't snip your pip D8 pleaseWww@Answer-Health@Com

I didn't circumcise my boy cause I thought it was too much money!. He was born about 5!.5 months ago, and they wanted like $300!. I'm not too knowledgeable on the subject, nor am I a religious person at all, so I said no dice!.

I know it sounds like I'm greedy, but I wouldn't have wanted to do something like that, then find out it was the complete opposite of what we wanted, then be stuck with it, and $300 lighter as well, you know!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

no i would never do that

unnecessary
removes his right to choose
removes his ability to fully experience male sexuality and male being
leaves scars
removes function
he can choose later
no real benefits of doing it earlier over waitingWww@Answer-Health@Com

I didn't have my son cut!. The foreskin protects the head!. Makes it more sensitive and pleasure during sex!. As far as cleanliness!., if you can teach him to brush his teeth , he can learn to keep his willie cleanWww@Answer-Health@Com

There are two camps to this debate and neither one is wrong!. So let me try to present both views:

Camp 'A', pro circumcision!. This side argues for the operation because it reduces the risk of infection in babies!. According to a study done by the American Academy of Pediatrics in 1999, babies who don't get the treatment are 11 times more likely to get an infection either a UTI or infection of the foreskin!. Males who are uncircumsised are also more likely to spread any infections as well as stds with sexual partners!. In fact even though we have anti-bacterial soaps and such, some stds - HIV for example, can be spread even if a man maintains good hygeine!.

Camp 'B' are anti-circumsision!. They support the idea that through proper hygeine habits the risks of getting and spreading infections is marginal compared to those are circumsised!. They also support the position of being pro-choice in that it should be the man's decision later on when he can make it himself!. Some studies have also suggested (but not proven) that men and women enjoy sex better if the foreskin is intact!. In fact some women do enjoy sex better with the foreskin!. But its a personal prefference only!. And finally the antis also point out that doctors can make errors and sometimes even accidentally amputate the penis or otherwise disfigure it!.

To conclude for camp 'A' the health benefits simply outweigh the risks!. The chances of a doctor messing up a circumsision is less than one percent!. Even if a man makes the decision to get it done later on in life, the risks are still there!. Same for any surgery!. The difference is that there is less psychological damage since babies do not remember the experience!. And getting it done later on increases the risk of losing sensitivity!. And finally for camp A as the foreskin serves no vital function and as long as it remains a person will have an increased risk for UTIs and other infections including STDs!.

To conclude for camp B, they still maintain that as long as you properly maintain good hygeine modern day anti-bacterial soaps will prevent most infections!. They also maintain the pro-choice angle, which is a strong point - should it be the male's choice, something he decides to do when he is older!? The draw back to putting it off is the risk of infections between then and when he is old enough to decide for himself!.

Ultimately neither side is right or wrong!. While some men and women preffer the more natural apperance of an uncircumsised penis, others do not!. As long as the foreskin remains, there is a a higher risk or infection!. But people have existed for a long long time without circumcision and I think in today's modern world you're son would not be flirting with death if you didn't get it done!.

For me personally, I'm not a father, but I have thought about it!. To me what it comes down to is that I am circumscised!. I'm not mutilated, nothing is broken and my mind is sound!. Personally I would get it done!. But if you, yourself, are not circumcised then perhaps you don't need the surgery!. Its a tough thing to decide!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

From a woman's point of view!. Please have baby boy circumcised or he is going to find it kind of difficult getting a girl to sleep with him twice!. uncircumcised turns more women off than on!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not a father, but I am circumcised!. It keeps your package cleaner, and is mostly based on how you feel your religion states it!. Most christians are!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
