Hunched back problem!?!

Question: Hunched back problem!!?
Well my cousin (our families live in the same house) has a pretty bad hunch back!. I asked him if it hurts and stuff and he says no, and standing up properly hurts more!. But I just don't know how he can sit like that! Also he has the weird foot problem thing where his foot goes inward when he walks (think its related to the hunch back)!. He is fat, not obese but defiantly fat and spends like 4 hours on a computer a day!. He says he has an ergonomic chair but hes too tall for it and his dad spent $300 on it and is afraid to ask for a new one!. So what are some methods that he can do to fix his back and foot!? I think he sits like how he does because of his man breasts :s!. I really want him to get better because he is approaching his last year in High School and I want it to be good for him!. He said he dosn't want to see a chiropractor (spell check) just methods he can gradually do to get his back up right again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Back- Tell him to once in a while put a book on his head and walk and balance it!. Have him stand against the wall and make his back straight!. It WILL hurt but no pain no gain!. Expect few days- week to get it right and a habit!. Sleeping on the floor if he can is a good idea too!.
Foot: If it's fallen arch- use a an arch support in his shoeWww@Answer-Health@Com

Even though he's on the computer that long, doesn't mean it's from the computer!.!. He could have a case of Kyphosis!. He might want to see an Orthopedist and see if that's the problem!. Or he can improve his core and build up his ab muscles which will help with his posture!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

tell him to spend less time on the computer and sit straight try to make it straight and stay like that for at least 5 mins a day so it goes back to normal, until it straight the foot i don't know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, try to convince him say that his life will feel better and like make him feel better if he sees the chiro dude!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hey!
what a coincidence!
i was just going to ask the same questions!Www@Answer-Health@Com

he needs to see a doctor, if he hasn't already!. I'm assuming he is in his late teens this is a time when a disease called ankylosing spondylitis usually first appears!. This is an autoimmune arthritis (rheumatic) disease that inflames primary the joints of the spine, it can be incredibly painful, but some people have no pain at all, unless they try to correct the "stooped" posture that is typical!. If this is the case it is best to get it taken care of before it does serious damage, and if not it is better to see a doctor just to make sure that nothing is wrong!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

umm it will take more than a school year to fix it first he has to gradually stand straighter and just try to deal with sum pain since his back has now formed into a hunch!. a helpful tool to use is one of those chairs u lay on and they flip u upside down vertical!. One thing he MUST do is get off the comp sit hunched over for so many hours at a time will wreck ur back when im on for long periods of time i lat back and rest my laptop on my lap or i lay on my stomach and just raise my head up!. the first one might feel better for him since it doesnt make him go fully straight but it will help straighten out his lower back a bitWww@Answer-Health@Com
