Question: Varicosectomy - post surgery changes!?
I had a (rt) varicosectomy performed two days ago and I was wondering if I should notice any immediate changes in the size or shape of the vericocele!. At this stage, the surgery has caused a very discomforting 2-1/2" incision in my lower abdomen, some lower back pain, and nausea from the anesthesia yet no improvement and/or change in the actual vericocele (the reason for the procedure)!. First of all, healing takes more time than three days!.
Second, you won't start to see a difference until the swelling and bruising has gone down, allowing for the body to then concentrate on resorbing around the varicocele to shrink it down!.
It took awhile for the varicosity to get bad enough for surgery- so realize that it takes awhile to heal from surgery!
