Need advice about male pattern baldness?!

Question: Need advice about male pattern baldness!?
I know there are many questions on this, and believe me I have looked through them!. But need first hand advice!. I am 22!. and I cannot seem to get an answer I need about going bald!. As far as I know I am not going bald, but I have been concerned about it for about a year or so!. It always seems to be on my mind these days!. Like I get paranoid if i run my hands through my hair and i see hairs in my hand!? Is this normal!? I also see hairs on my pillow!. I know you shed 100 hairs a day, so I just put that down to this!. I just don;t seem to understand how baldness works or whether I can determine if it is happening to me!. My dad is bald, but he has significantly less hair than his dad! My mums dad had a full head of hair when he died, but his son's are experiencing hair loss quite a lot!. So how does that work!? Does that mean that hairloss skips a generation!? Ive read that hair loss is governed by an over-abundance of DHT hormone!? or something like that!. One thing i would like to also add, is that I cannot grow much facial hair!. Or rather I only need to shave once a week usually!. I cannot grow a beard, yet my dad can!.!.!. I am not worried about going bald, if it happens it happens!. Just I want some clarity!. I want to know if it will happen or not!. I seem to be thinking about it too much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like your just being anxious and paranoid about it to be honest!. I have a lot of hair and it's very long and sometimes when I run my hands through it or comb it, you wouldn't believe the amount that comes off! Unless your actually noticing your hair thinning or bald patches occurring, it is likely normal!. See your GP if your concerned!.

I don't think this is what you have because generally male pattern baldness follows a typical pattern of receding hairline and hair thinning on the crown!. This is mainly caused by hormones and a genetic predisposition!.

Generally speaking, eveyones hair grows about an inch every couple of months!. Each hair grows for 2 to 6 years, remains at that length for a short period, then falls out!. A new hair soon begins growing in its place!. At any one time, about 85% of the hair on your head is in the growing phase!.

Each hair sits in a cavity in the skin called a follicle!. Baldness in men occurs when the follicle shrinks over time, resulting in shorter and finer hair!. The end result is a very small follicle with no hair inside!. Usually hair should grow back!. However, in men who are balding, the follicle fails to grow a new hair!. Some people do start to lose hair very young!. There isn't much one can do!. I dont think Minoxidil etc is very effective!.

I understand your concern dude!. I'm sorry if my answer was kind of general; Holler at Dr Frank; I'm not very good with male things!. I'll star this question he may pick it up!. He's very helpful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The age that you develop male pattern baldness is determined by your genetics, but the relationship is not a simple one, being affected by several genes!. I am afraid there exists no mechanism to predict how things will progress in any individual!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Genetics!.

Apparently, your hair genes are determined by your grandfather on your mothers side!. If your grandpa has a good head o hair, you will too, if he started going bald by 30!.!.!.!.you will too!. etc!. etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you wanna know what your head will look like when youre older look at your mum's dad's headWww@Answer-Health@Com

Male Pattern baldness is a heredity trait of which you have identified!. The old adage that a man inherits this trait only through his mothers genes is not true!. With the advent of DNA testing, a man can inherit the genes through either mother or father!. It will be fairly expensive but you can go to a specialist and have a DNA test and the genes which determine hair loss could be identified!.

The gene does not skip a generation and this is almost like playing the lottery with your genes!. you cannot tell in advance unless through a DNA test!.

I am bald but my twin brother (fraternal) is not bald!?!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

your chances are high that you will be follicle challenged!.!.!.

i suggest a try with minoxidil!.!.!. i have been on it for over 12 years, and i am very happy with my results!.!.!. i stopped using it once several years ago for about 3 months,,, big mistake!.!.!.!. it took over a year to gain back what i had lost!.!.!.

if you stop seeing a bunch of hairs in the tub or on your pillow it's working!.!.!.

good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
