Question: What is the male version of a hysterectomy called!?
This may be a stupid question but I can't remember!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
A vasectomy is getting clipped!.!.!. a Hysterectomy is getting some of the female reproductive organs removed or destroyed!.!. like a cut and burn!.!. the closest thing to that for males would be castration!. I don't recommend it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A complete hysterectomy (removal of the uterus and the ovaries) would be like removing the prostate gland and the testicles (prostectomy and castration)!. Just the removal of the uterus (hysterectomy) would be like removing the prostate gland!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unfortunately men have no developed organ clearly equivalent in function to a uterus!. Thus, there is no close equivalent operation!.

Vasectomy is more analogous to a tubal ligation; things get tied off but nothing is removed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wrong--vasectomy would be equivalent to tying your tubes!. Castration would be equal somewhat to a hysterectomy--removal of the sex organs, but would also need to include the penis and perhaps the prostate!. Not fun!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

A vasectomy is more like a tubal ligation not a hysterectomy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
