How is life different if you are NOT circumcised?!

Question: How is life different if you are NOT circumcised!?
We made the choice to NOT get our son circumcised at birth!. It has been a hassle to keep it clean and the fore skin stretched!.!.!.just wondering what other things I am not aware of since most males in our family have been circumcised and no one has any idea or won't talk!.!.!.delicate subject I guess!.

Later in life will this effect him dating and what about sex!?
Do women find this odd!?
Just wondering and for all those smart donkeys I KNOW the physical differences thank you!.

May you be blessed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know your pediatrician told you to clean him that way, but his advice is wrong, and could be harmful to your son!. American doctors do not learn anything about the proper development of the foreskin in medical school, and since so many boys are cut, most doctors, pediatricians included, have no idea how to properly care for an intact boy!. The result is they give potentially damaging advice, like yours did!.

You shouldn't be doing anything with his penis!. The foreskin is not supposed to retract in a baby- a study in europe, where most boys are intact, showed the average age of retraction was 10-12 YEARS old!. At birth the foreskin is naturally fused to the head!. It loosens as the boy approaches puberty!. Retraction before it is ready can cause permanent damage to a boy!. It can also actually cause infections to develop!. The proper care is to do nothing, and don't touch the foreskin- just wipe the outside like a finger and you're done!.

Here are some links on proper care of intact boy-

From the American Academy of Pediatrics guide to caring for an intact son- http://www!.aap!.org/publiced/BR_Uncircumc!.!.!.

It is also good to choose a pediatrician who is knowledgeable about the care of intact boys!. These two organizations can help you with referrals to foreskin-friendly doctors-

Hope that helps some!. :) As far as later in life, it shouldn't have any ill effects- 80% of the men in the world are intact!. If you teach him from an early age about his body and why you chose to keep him intact, he should be thrilled with the way he is built!. Most issues come from young men who are unaware that the foreskin actually benefits them sexually!. Once a man knows that it is to his benefit to be intact, and what the drawbacks can be, they generally have no desire to be any other way!. Shallow women *might* find it odd, but its hard to say- in your son's generation, 50% of all boys will be intact, so its likely any girls he encounters will have no issue- it will be an entirely different culture than it is today!. Any woman who would turn him down over a foreskin isn't worth his time anyway ;)

There are only two things he would need to know, apart from the importance of his foreskin- first, since you leave a boys penis pretty much alone, when he enters puberty you need to tell him that part of his new hygenie routine (along with deodarant, shaving etc) needs to include retracting his foreskin and cleaning under it in the shower daily!. The second is that during condom use it is opften easier for an intact man to retract his foreskin, and then apply the condom!.

Hope that helps you some!. -Neb

Hi, I've dated both men who were circumcised and some who weren't and if I'm being honest I prefer circumcised as it just appears somewhat cleaner but it certainly wouldn't turn me off a guy if he wasn't!. My current bf isn't and I can't get enough of him! If I were to have a son I don't think I would do it, it seems like a cruel, meaningless thing to do but I'm certainly not an medical expert in any way!. Also I've heard it is healthier if they aren't as the foreskin is protective!. Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

My opinion you did a huge dis-service to your son!. I chose to be circumcised at 18 and would do it again in heartbeat!. It is much cleaner, proven healthier for both partners, looks better and feels better for both partners!. the anti's will feed you the BS that there is a loss of sensitivity and that's all a lie! I had no hesitation to have my boys (1&4) as i know there is no downside, only a lifetime of benefits!.

As for dating etc!.!.!.!. girls will be asking "What is wrong with you"!? He will get BS from his peers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well there's nothing really different with being circumcised or not! apart from there is a little more sensitivityy with an uncircumcised penis!.
but you were right to give your son the choice to have foreskin or not because if he feels like he doesn't want it then he can have it removed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well i cant really compare seeing as i only know what its like to be uncircumcised!.!. but i shouldnt think it would be much different

firstly i dont think u need to worry so much about cleaning the foreskin and such, its fine as it is!.!. remember males are born with foreskins so obviously u dont have to go out of ur way to faciliate it!.

ok now to ur q's
1!. it hasnt affected me with sex
2!. girls dont find it odd with me!.!. albeit i do live in australia where circumcision is fairly rare
Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm guessing u guys r all american as your acting like being circumsized is normal or something and most people have it!. This is not the case in the UK and being circumsized will get u laughed at!. I thought only jews got the chop!?

I really didn't realise so many men got circumsised and shocked that people here are treting it as the norm!.

P!.S!. how do you masturbate without foreskin!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you actually pulling the foreskin back!?!!?!!?
Good god, leave the damn thing alone!!!
Keeping it stretched!!?!?! Who the hell gave you advice on foreskin care!?!!?!

Think of it as you would an eyelid!.!.!.dont mess with the freakin thing!.

All you people saying it doesnt look normal or it will get infected are clue-less!.

Its there for a REASON its not EXTRA!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you are not supposed to try and retract the foreskin, as for cleaning it is no different than a circumcised penis, you just wash it!. Nothing in life should be different!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

To me,it's a religious thing and outdated!.
If a bloke wants part of him lopped off, then let him decide when he's mature enough to make an informed decision!.

It's normal and the sex life doesn't suffer!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have dated a guy who was not circumsized
Sex feels the same and when its erect you can't even tell a difference
however i will admit i was a little uneasy when I first saw it Www@Answer-Health@Com

get it removed i am suffering because i am uncircumsized girls see it n look confused!. and u will hav to w8 a long time till he tells u about it my parents still dnt kno tht i dnt like itWww@Answer-Health@Com

he will have it better then his "less then complete" friends

there will always be some teasing between boys, so give him a little bit of ammo to be up against misconceptions some boys may have

for now just don't retract the foreskinWww@Answer-Health@Com

to be honest when both penis erect with a circumcised or uncircumcised they actually look the same, they only look diff when they are on normal state!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I personally like a man to be circumcised!. It just looks nicer!. Sex shouldn't be any different for him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think most women enjoys having sex with mens who are circumcised and they enjoy it much that with uncircumcised mens!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

don't worryWww@Answer-Health@Com

Wow, you made an awesome decision! Well done!. Circumcision is a dated, unnecessary and irreversible procedure, and rates are at an all-time low in the USA nowadays!.

But WAIT! You don't need to clean your son's foreskin that intensely!. A boy's "intact" penis requires NO special attention!. You don't need to carefully clean under the foreskin fifty times a day with a swab! He'll discover his foreskin capabilities whenever he's ready (it may not be fully retractable until the age of 10yrs) and its simply a case of educating him about the importance of personal hygiene!.

Please read the below websites, they should tell you everything you need to know:Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wow, the pediatrician sure didn't give proper advice!. However, I can kinda understand why the pediatrician said what he/she did!. A big misconception out there, even in doctors, is that to clean the intact infant penis you must pull the skin back and rinse underneath with soap and water!. However, the foreskin is "glued" to the head while young and forcing it back actually breaks this natural adhesion, which can cause micro tears (perhaps what you describe), redness, soreness, and even infections!. The foreskin will become retractable and "loose" on its own, and until then, you should ONLY clean the outside of the penis, like you would a finger!.

The pediatrician thinks this natural adhesion needs to be broken and cleaned away for you to easily keep cleaning under the foreskin!. However, it is perfectly natural and should be left alone!. I can see why some people think it is such a hassle when given advice like this!.

Here are some other misconceptions/things you should know about!.!.!.

Medically, there is nothing but controversial studies and misconceptions like the "cleanliness" reason!. I personally, would not take a permanent gamble for my son that the PRO studies are right AND that he would actually prefer to have them over being intact!. He will have 15-20 years or MORE before he even starts using his penis!.!.!. during which the studies may clear up!.

Religion and personal preference vary per person, and forcing someone to permanently be the way you like, is wrong!.!.!. they deserve the right to choose what is best for their life and their body!. We dont force ANY other permanent non-medical cosmetic procedure upon our kids!.

When I asked a question here if a woman would want to remove some of her labia if it meant the same benefits as male circ, NO ONE said yes!. This just shows how much personal and cultural bias male circumcision has!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, as you pointed out, cleanliness is a big factor and it will be a big factor his entire life (unless he decides to get the procedure later on which is dangerous for an adult)!. Not keeping the area clean can cause infections and odor - neither being something he's going to want!.

The main reason to circumsize is hygiene (obviously)!. As you said it's difficult for you to keep clean and as he gets older, especially during puberty, he may not take care of it like he should so and I'm sure you won't notice if he does or doesn't so if he doesn't, he could be silently causing a lot of trouble!.

As a woman who's been "there", I can say that as long as it's clean, there's not much of a difference but most women do prefer circumsized!. It's a cleaner look and cleaner altogether!. I highly doubt any woman will ever see it and run for the hills so it's not that serious!. If he doesn't keep it tidy, he will get "dick cheese" (it's as gross as it sounds) and she will go running for the hills and he'll be scarred for life!. I have heard that uncircumsized is actually more sensitive so that is a plus for him if that is in fact the case, as long as he's not with someone who has an aversion to foreskin!.

There are plenty of reasons to circumsize and a few scary stories to make you not want to!. You just need to weigh which is best!. It is not too late to have him circumsized so if you change your mind, it's better to get it done now than wait until he's a teenager!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well if you have a newborn son, caring for an uncircumcised boy requires no special care at all!. You are not supposed to retract the foreskin at all!. In a newborn boy the foreskin is attached to the glans of the penis!. There is no need to clean underneath it!. Pulling it back forcefully will be very painful for him and can damage it and cause tearing and bleeding!. The foreskin will separate on it's own when he's between 8 and 12 years old!.

As far as "life" being different goes!.!.!.!.haha!.!.!.well I don't really think it's any different at all!. I was never circumcised and I'm fine!. Most of the males in my family were not circumcised and I'm pretty sure it's just an American custom because "routine circumcision" it's not practiced in most countries and most people would consider the idea of routine circumcision kind of ridiculous! In my humble opinion, at the end of the day, he's better off with his whole body!.

Women that I've been with have all been cool with it and I've never had any foreskin related problems!. From what I understand sex is supposed to be better for both partners if you are uncircumcised as long as the guy keeps himself clean down there (which I do)!.

my friend's mother was a midwife in Europe & she said you are supposed to retract it & clean in there w/ a cotton swab & water/mild soap like cetaphil!. & I dont think most women will have an issue w/ it when he's older as long as he has good hygeine habits-Www@Answer-Health@Com

accordin to southpark being circumSIZED

Ask a guy who has had an infection from not keeping clean!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, it's more dirty, and also you have just put your child at risk for diseases later on in lifeWww@Answer-Health@Com

I would recommend you circumcise him, because he will be more prone to his THING getting infected!. It's better to circumcise him, because if you don't and later in life he wants to have it done it will be more painful!. If you circumcise him and later on in life he want his foreskin back; you can regrow it and doctor will show him how to do it!. But when you get old enough you can't get circumcised!. MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE CIRCUMCISE HIM!. Yes women find it odd and some are disgusted by it!. It just doesn't look normal!. Some women will not go out with someone, who is uncircumcised!. Yes and your son will have a hard time cleaning it and making sure it doesn't get infected!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
