I feel you, I hate when that happens!.

Basically, your skin just gets irritated when you shave it (razor burn)!.

Some things that will lessen the irritation are:
*shaving in the direction hair grows, not against it
*shaving with hair conditioner
*shaving in the bath or shower after spending at least 5 minutes so the steam opens your follicles
*use an electric shaver
*use aloe vera gel after shaving

I hope these tips help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're getting a rash because the skin is tender there and the razor is irritating it!. It's also possible that the hair stubble is irritating the facing skin when it first starts to grow out!.
I suggest you try trimming the hair short as a compromise!. You will get mostly the same benefits as shaving, but avoid irritating the skin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is called razor rash!. It is very common when shaving sensitive skin!.

Here are some tips I got from expreience:

Take a hot shower before you shave to soften skin!.

Be sure to use shaving cream (hair conditioner works great to if you do it in the shower)

Take your time! Don't rush I cant stress this enough!.

Don't use an overused blade!. It will cause more cuts than a sharp one!.

ALWAYS shave in a downward motion!. You may leave some very short stubble but if your careful you can pretty much eliminate that, and you won't get bumps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The rash is probably actually irritation caused by opening the skin to bacteria!. Try spreading antibiotic cream on before and just after you shave!. Use a clean, new blade!. Why are you shaving there anyway!? Just trim with scissors and leave it alone!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tea tree oil should do the trick!.
Got that trick from one of my ladies one time : she shaved and used that oil : no pimples!.
I prefer to keep natural but only trim!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.so it is second hand experience am talking here!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I get the razor bumps too!. I have found that nothing helps for me!. have you considered getting it waxed instead!? I have but I'm too much of a wimp to try i!.!.!.!. LOLWww@Answer-Health@Com

most people get that when theyh shave their pubic area!.!. i do!.!. just dont scratch it, rub it!.!. and put moisturizer on it right after shavingWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like inflammation of the hair follicles!. Perhaps you should just trim with scissors (carefully!!) and not try for a close shave!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's your body's way of telling you to stop doing that!.
You should listen to your body!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it could be that the razor was not 100% clean
