Answers:
1!. Keep your room DARK!. I have mini-blinds, a dark pull down shade and curtains over my window!.

2!. Use a fan!. It used to drown out the street and kids noise!. Now the white noise just helps me sleep!.

3!. Eat something!. Preferably a turkey sandwich!. Turkey has a chemical that makes you sleepy!.

4!. Think vampire!. Get to bed before the sun comes up, if possible!. Your body has a circadian rhythm that tells you to wake up when the sun comes up!.

5!. If you're not sleepy when you first get home, stay up!. Go to bed later in the day!. I used to get home at 0800 then stay up until noon!. By the time I got to bed I was very tired and could sleep until 2200!. I felt great all night at work!.

6!. I don't care what anyone says about sleep aids, don't use them!. They will screw you up big time!.

7!. Last, but not least!. No caffeine 6 hours before bedtime!.

Yes, darken the room your are sleeping in, but you should plan your night!. If you worked during the day, you would stay awake for a few hours, then go to sleep!.

So, during the day, when you come home, don't expect to go right to sleep!. You need to tire yourself out!. Perhaps do some excesses, read a book!. You are less active when you're home because the world is asleep!.
