Testosterone has been named the Male sex hormone cause on average an adult male produces 40 to 60 times as much testosterone as an adult female!. It it because of this that males become larger and bigger on average then females do!. Testosterone promotes growth of muscles and plays a key role in puberty, heightened levels of testosterone during puberty promote faster bone growth , facial hair, pubic hair, enlargement of the tests etc!. In adults testosterone plays a key role in a persons personality, people with high levels of testosterone tend to be more aggressive but also have a higher sexual libido , increased frequency of erections!. Having low levels of testosterone can be devastating, resulting in loss of sexual appetite, feelings of insecurity, and even suicidal behavior has been reported in some cases were people took testosterone in the form of anabolic steroids and became highly depressed when they stopped taking them ( If one uses a lot of steroids, the body will stop making it's own testosterone , then if you stop using them , there is a period of time before your body turns your testosterone production back on , and it is in this period when testosterone levels are at their lowest that males can get highly depressed or even suicidal)!. The testosterone is almost like a message, sent from your brain to your body parts, and makes alot of hair grow in the, armpits, arms, legs, face, and pubic hair(i hope you know what that is) it also makes your body torso wider, and makes it stronger and tougher, which is good!.
