WELL DONE, WELL DONE, WELL DONE!. You are starting to win, this is the real, real hard bit, but DON'T GIVE IN!. You can do this and you will be SO proud of yourself to have left that stinking habit behind!.

Go and get some nicotine gum to chew, you won't get addicted to it!. Alternate it with ordinary gum!. Have an extra cup of coffee or tea!. Whatever you do please don't try one cigarette!!

I gave up 12 years ago and it was one of the best 5 things I ever did in my life and I have always felt so good I gave it up before it killed me!.

Right, so now get to the end of next week and then you are starting to climb the ladder back to smelling good and health!. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are at the point where it feels the worst, so if you can make it through today and tomorrow, you will be doing very well!.

When you get the craving, you need something to occupy your mind, or distract you!. Get up and go to the kitchen and get a drink of water, or make a cup of tea!. DON'T eat stuff!.!.!. you'll put on weight! And don't drink fizzy drinks as a distraction - too much sugar!.

Alternatively, if you are at work, find someone understanding that you can talk to who you have briefed to distract you with discussion about your favourite topic!.

Good luck - you're nearly through the worst of it!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had a real hard battle with nicotine but managed to win the battle!. I haven't smoked now for over 15 years!. Here are some suggestions which worked for me:
1) Stop smoking because YOU want to not to please anyone else!.
2) Break the habits associated with having a smoke, ie after/with a drink - first thing - last thing!.
3) If necessary, change the places you hang out and associate with smoking!.
4) Tell everyone you know and ask for their support whilst you do this!.
5) Focus on better health, cleaner smelling clothes and stuff like that!.
6) Don't reduce just stop!.
7) Be really determined to succeed - YOU CAN DO IT!. I DID!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

What you have got to do is tell yourself constantly "just for today, I won't smoke" then when you wake up the next day say "just for today, I won't smoke"!. This'll fool your brain into thinking that its not going to be forever and before you know it the cravings will have eased considerably!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try and not think about it too much!.!.!. that was my thing!.

I took to drinking more tea or eating a piece of toast!.
Something like that!.

The thing is, these cravings are going to come and go a hell of a lot more, so you need to find a way of dealing with them without the use of ciggies!.
I'm 12 weeks now, and I had a major craving on Sunday!.!.!. so I came on here, and got so addicted to answering questions that I forgot about the cigs!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Chew gum, take a walk, suck a pencil - do anything but smoke!.

Even phone the quit line and shout - I did a couple of times (they dont mind actually)

I gave just over a year ago!. I feel and look better!.

But yes I still get the occasional craving but they are they are infrequent and dont last long - stick with it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sympathy goes to you!. Have you got the money saved from quitting!? Is Your breathing less laboured!.Does your breath smell better!.Do your clothes smell better!.Does your home smell better !. Does your car smell better!.Are people still congratulating you for quitting!. If yes is the answer to most of the above try and stick with it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
