Yes they are a good workout, however situps alone are pointless!. You have to mix it in with other workouts like cardio, aerobics, yoga, resistance training, etc, to make it more effective!. Eventually you'll get the ridges in your stomach and then a 6 pack!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes, its a good workout for toughening the abdominal muscles (abs) and making them strong but it does not get the fat off from the surface!. You need to do cardio like running, jogging etc to burn off the fat, then the strengthened abdominals would come to the fore!Www@Answer-Health@Com

better crunches than sit ups!. crunches work the abs sit ups strain your neck and do little for the abs
