A question for men who have quit smoking?!

Question: A question for men who have quit smoking!?
My husband is trying to quit smoking and having great success!.!.!.1 weeks so far! I am really proud of him and I'd love to do whatever I can to help him!. He still seems to suffer from intense cravings though!.!.!.how long did that last for any of you!? He's doing his absolute best to cope with the cravings but it does seem to cause him big mood swings which must be hard for him to deal with!. Any suggestions from those who have quit as to what i can do to help him through this initial period!?

30-40 days!. It gets less and less in that time!. The physical addiction is over in 3-4 days!. But the brain addiction takes longer!. The psych experts all agree it takes about a month for the human brain to develop new patterns that stick!. He'll get by!. I quit several years ago now after many years of smoking!. I've actually gotten to the point where I don't even want a ciggie any more, no really! You do get to that stage!. From time to time, like every other month, I will puff a nice cigar but not inhale!. It feels really good to have that control and know that I can enjoy a 'naughty' treat but not have to have it all the time and can put it away when the fun is over!. But for the first two years there was no way I could indulge that at all because it would have completely started me smoking ciggies again!. So it takes awhile but it is worth it!. i am not a smoker but i have heard from a friend that somebody he knows quit, here's how he quit, buy a a pack or two of cigarettes rip them apart, take out all the tobacco, put it in a jar with water, let it sit for a couple days, and every time he gets he cravings, go to the jar open it and he shall smell a horrid smell!. (from what i heard the make the cravings go away!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com
