My sleep schedule. Zzzzzz?!


Question: My sleep schedule!. Zzzzzz!?
im 17 male!. a student at one of the top 50 HS's in the US!.
i goto bed at 12!. wake up a 5:25 to catch my bus(about 51/2 hrs of sleep saying i fall asleep instantly)!. get home at 2:50 eat then fall asleep at 3:30 and wake up around 6:40 (about 3hrs of sleep)!.

is this normal!? healthy!? possible side effects!?

im an A/B student!. but i always feel tired all day everyday =(Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stoner, you got a problem here!. 99% of the population needs more sleep (regular sleep - forget the naps because that is unhealthy)!. Oh sure, you may get away with less sleep or naps for a short period of time (because you are young and your immune system hasn't gone nuts yet) but eventually things will catch up with you!.

There seems to be a conflict about your values!. Are you really the driven, over-achieving type, or are you a typical procrastinator like the rest of us guys!? What do you really want!? I would want more sleep if I were in your shoes!.

Another issue involves economy of time!. Do you waste a lot of time in your typical day!? Do you study for 30 minutes at a time by staring blankly at one page and not really get the information!? Lack of sleep will eventually make study harder!. I'd vote to take care of myself as the first priority and to heck with the big load which is making you unhappy!. Stop taking naps immediately and go for 8 hrs of sleep at night!.

Once you are well rested you will find that if you really concentrate on your studies it will go much easier!. But all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!.

I'm going to take a risk here - Stoner, nobody ever asks me what the heck I did in high school!. Truth is, I mostly worked to make money and chased girls!. In college things were different: I worked, chased coeds, and would sometimes make some time for study!. I got mostly A's and slept like a baby!. Good luck to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

naps really aren't healthy!. i know how tempting it is to have them but you really should try and stop!.
start a nightly routine, do something you find relaxing, then have a hot shower, brush your teeth, hop into bed and listen to some soft music!. if you're still awake after half an hour, get out of bed and read a book until you feel tired again and then go back to bed!. it's important that your body only associates your bed with sleep, so don't do anything but sleep there!. it will take a few days for the routine to start working but if you stick to it it will work!. Also make sure you're warm enough, the warmth helps you to get to sleep!. and make time for exercise so you're physically tired as well as mentally!. 8 hours work 8 hours play 8 hours sleep is the way you should divide your day!. hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Try to get on a good, balanced healthy diet!. Dump the junk foods!. Drink plenty of water & fat free milk to help keep the traffic flowing!. You need to work some exercise in somewhere!. If nothing but 30 minutes of BRISK walking every day!. Make sure you eat breakfast every morning!. You get your energy for the day from the breakfast meal!. Even a slice of cheese has as much protein in it as a bacon & egg breakfast!. Don't just grab a glass of juice & run to catch the bus!. Make an effort to eat breakfast!. Why not try going to bed at 11 PM instead of midnite!? What's so important that you must stay up until 12 O'clock!? A body gets the most benefit from sleep between the hours of 10 PM & 2 AM than at any other time of the nite!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to sleep at night time not during the day!.

sleeping during the day allows your body to rest but not your mind!. the light allows your body to know you should be moving!.

we are meant and build to sleep at night, now if your room is dark or blacked out, weekly affects are little to none, long term like 5 or six years, you will feel more like you just can't get enough sleep each young adult and adult needs 7 1/2- 9 hours sleep!. depending on eating habits!.

lol!. Sleep is vital!. Take it from me, the lazy cat!. Now, it's crucial to sleep!. My advice - go to bed earlier!. Your cycle is like my old cycle - which is not beneficiary!. Go to bed at 9:30-10:00 the latest!. You'll awake from your sleep refreshed, and good!. When you get home - NO NAPS! 20 MINUTE POWER NAP AT THE MOST!. Research shows that a 20 minute nap restores your body better than a four hour, weird, right!? Not sleeping will put you in my situation of having Pneumonia!. Take my advice!. well if your felling tired i'd say to skip the nap and try to sleep earlier!. I think you need a longer sleep period rather than the 2 different sleep periods!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should try and sleep through the nigh a bit more and not all day

It is not what the reccomended time but all teens do that!. Im 13 and I go to bed at 12 and wake up at 6!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
