Answers:
Lots of us , including 12 year old sometimes need to get up in the night , especially after 7 hours
I think you must have upset his confidence in the way you told him off for making too much noise , but I do understand that the last thing you want is for your sleep to be disturbed by a 12 year old
Why don't you provide a torch so he doesn't need to put the light on , and just impress on him that he needs to be mindful of others in the house when opening and closing doors during the night
Could it be possible he is jealous of the attention a 3 year old gets !?!? maybe he is looking for attention Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi there,
It is a good thing that you have seen the doctor, as if he/she said everything was fine, then it must be!.
You must be feeling bad after telling him off, but it's understandable, especially if he keeps waking up his siblings!.
All I can suggest is that you talk to him, it could be that he is having these accidents, as he is worried about something!.
Have you actually had a long talk, if anything is worrying him!?
If this doesn't work then all I can say is support him, I'm sure it will pass!.
Also take into consideration is he drinking too much before going to bed, maybe he should go before getting in bed!.
All the best

well,it's really common to get up through the night to go to the loo, maybe because you gave him into trouble,he didn't want to displease you by going to the toilet and making noise and that is why it happened in bed, maybe talk to him and just ask him to be really quiet as his little sister is being kept awake by him, maybe it could be something else, bullying perhaps,as nervousness and stress can play havoc with your bladder/bowels!.!.take care!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Poor boy! He only got up to go to the loo!!!? You've made him feel guilty about it to the point that he's now wet the bed!. So what if he goes to the toilet during the night!?!?!? Just ask him not to bang the door or turn on any main lights!. You could help him by putting night lights in the hall, or leaving a low watt lamp on in the bathroom so that he can see!. Tell him it's okay not to flush the toilet until morning!. There's no need for people to be disturbed just because he uses the toilet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it is just his body clock!. i wake up at 6am to go to the toilet most days!. when i was a child, i would always go in the middle of the night!.

congradulations : you made him ashamed and embarrassed and told him off over something stupid!. Now you have a much bigger problem on your hands!.

I think you should use your common sense!. Appologise to him and tell him to get up more quietly and go to the toilet!.

can i just add that i found your reaction to your 12 year old really disgusting!? and i am not insulting you, so you cannot report me for that!. I am insulting your ways!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Seems perfectly normal!.
To have told him off is the wrong approach and seems unfair - when you gotta go you gotta go!. Just tell him to walk slowly, shut the doors slowly, how to make less noise - telling him not to get up will result in a lifelong bedwetting problem!.

Or just make sure he drinks less in the hours before he goes to bed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some people have to go more often than others!. It sounds like your actions of "telling him off" could have possibly made him uncertain as to what to do when the need to go arose!. Therefore, he wet the bed!. If I were afraid, I can't say I wouldn't do the same!.

Have you thought about buying him something to go in that can be kept by his bed!?

You might also ask the doctor for DDAVP nasal mist!. This can help him get through the night without disturbing you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

shame on you!.!.!. he gets up to use the bathroom after 7 hours and your mad!.!.!. now he pees the bed because he's afraid to get up when he has to go!.!.!.!. for shame!.!.!.!. you deserve this,,, it's your problem, not his!.!.!.

i hope that was sensible enough for you, because you really need to come to your sensesWww@Answer-Health@Com

Try to watch the amount of liquids he consumes before he goes to bed!. That may reduce the urgency!. you could also try letting him stay up an hour or so longer, so that way the need for sleep will over come the urge to use the bathroom!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I s he drinking too much before going to bed!? It sounds as though he has some mental hangups or worries, are you aways shouting at him and telling him off,it sounds like nerves to me!.But ,there could be something you are missing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should not have told him off and now it looks as though you may have made a rod for your own back!. Try to make his last drink by 7pm, so that it has chance to pass through by 9pm and you might postpone his bedtime by one hour!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

oh stop bothering him!
you dont need to do anything with him, he seems to be pretty normal
just leave him alone to do whatever he wants to!.!. hes 12 for goodness sakes, and he doesnt need you embarrasing him for any longer!Www@Answer-Health@Com
