Is it normal for a 17 year old to cry fast?!

Question: Is it normal for a 17 year old to cry fast!?
From yawning, I tear really fast!.

From watching movies even slightly sad (even if they are comedy) I get very prone to tears!. Why is this!? does this have something to do with puberty!?

I also laugh a lot at stuff that can be slightly funny!. It's weird!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
you might be giving off a lot of testosterone at this time, which means more estrogen
some people give off even MORE estrogen than normal, which may be the case for you
other signs may be- sore nipples, strong feeling toward others, and yes crying easily
at some times i used to be depressed for days without a reason, especially when i was on m-stak which raised my testosterone levelsWww@Answer-Health@Com

you are describing a higher than normal arousal to sad and funny stimuli, has this always been the case!?

Are you epileptic!?

are you on any medication!?

This happened to me ,i had a brain scan-way back when I was 15-it was clear! (the machine broke afterwards tho)

sometimes serotonin and dopamine levels are so high in puberty, one can become blissfully engaged in such things
-it's like mania, caused by hormonal changes, and NOT clinical mania!.

hope this helps

i'm 42 and aliveWww@Answer-Health@Com

I do the same thing too!. Especially when I yawn or watch tv!. From yawning, I guess it is because you are tired!. And when I watch movies, I think it is because I blink less and I am fixated on a screen that give off light for hours!. lol!. And the laughing part, I usually laugh at things that aren't even funny, but only when I am in the mood, or especially with my friends!. Everything is funny when I am with my friends, even if I just said,"cookie!." that would be like the funniest thing, but with out them, it wouldn't be funny! <333Www@Answer-Health@Com

See, I would say that you're just sensitive, but the fact that you're questioning it and perhaps even a little worried makes me wonder how prevalent this behaviour is!. I don't know specifically about men, but it sounds like perhaps you could have some hormonal stuff going on!. If it's getting to the point of ridiculousness, where you begin to "understand exactly how your girlfriend feels"!.!.!.then it's best to see someone!.
Teenage boys can develop hormonal issues!. Sometimes it can be a diet high in soy, drug abuse, or even pituary problems!.
I'm not saying I know you've got a problem!. But, monitor it!. If your sexual development is coming along normally!.!.!.you may just be a really sensitive dude!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

theres nothing wrong with crying over little things or laughing over something that might not be funny to everyone else!. i know that i cry over things that other people wouldnt think twice about (like i hate when i used to leave the house and one of my parents would eat dinner alone) it doesnt have to do with puberty its just the way you were raised and an acute sense of detail!. when you hear something funny you laugh and when other people dont catch it then its like you have your own little joke theres nothing wrong with it embrace it =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. It's nothing to be worried about, its natural variation!.
2!. I didn't assume anything -- but I trust you don't think something is wrong with being gay!.
3!. Actually, there are very mild forms of bipolar behavior that do lead to the "symptoms" you describe -- but they are so mild that they don't require treatment!.

I think that crying and laughing easily are good things, personally!.

Kind thoughts,

Haha that sounds just like me!.

It's funny, my dad was the same way too!.

I think it has more to do with your personality, in reference to crying at movies and things!.

haha, yeah, I kinda find things funny that other people don't!.

I laugh at anyone who accidentally falls down!.!.

but yes, it's completely normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

lol aw that's fcking adorable!.

could be hormonal, like you're overly emotional!. or you could just be supersensitive!. i'd say don't worry about it unless you notice huge mood swings in which case you might want to see if you're bipolar!.

Haha, don't try to compare yawning with watching The Notebook!.

It's just you!. Nothing wrong with being a girly man, contrary to California's governor's beliefWww@Answer-Health@Com

You can tear from allergies, or any number of things!. Sometimes you just have watery eyes!.!.!.
