Circumcision for my 7 week old?!
Question: Circumcision for my 7 week old!?
I don't see the point in circumcision if you teach your child how to properly clean the area!. On the other hand, my husband is circumsized so because of that he'd like our son to be!. He feels that later on in life he may get picked on in the boys locker room or by peers or women because of the way an uncircumcised penis looks!.!.!. He's not really adamant about it either way, he's willing to go with whatever I choose!. I want to make hubby happy but I definitely don't want to put my son in an unnecessary pain!. On top of that I think it's just odd, its almost like plastic surgery for the penis, it's like cutting off a little girls clitoris at birth! It just doesn't make sense!. Isn't the skin of the penis there for a reason!? Otherwise, males would've been born without that, correct!? Any one else going through this dilemma!?!. I know it's a very personal decision but any advice/opinions would help!. I'd like it to be up to my child someday if this is what he wants, he can have it later on in life!. Thanks! First of all, the person who said that you must pull back the foreskin of an infant is COMPLETELY wrong!. The foreskin should not be forcibly pulled back for any reason, or it can be extremely harmful (not to mention painful)!. It will retract naturally on its own when it is good and ready!.!.!. this could happen at anytime between 2 and 10 years!.
As for my opinion on circumcision-- I gave birth to a baby boy in January and I chose NOT to circumcise him!. I personally feel that, because it is HIS penis!.!.!.he should be the one to make that call when he is willing and able!.
Circumcision is on the decline here in the US!. More and more parents are deciding against it, as it is a cosmetic procedure with no real proven benefits!.
It has been proven that, in cultures where ritual female genital mutilation is practiced, the women who have had it done to them are the first ones to defend the practice and offer up their daughters to have the procedure done on them as well!.!.!. most often because they feel it will improve their daughters status in their societies!.
So, just because some circumcised men feel that the procedure is desirable over having a foreskin, that doesn't mean that the rest of the world feels the same way!. Female genital mutilation is illegal in the US, and for good reason!. I feel that circumcision should be illegal as well!.
I firmly believe that circumcision is an assault on male sexuality!.The part of foreskin that is removed is one of the most sensitive parts of a man's penis!. Taking that away from him is unfair and it is no different from female genital mutilation!. It has been proven that men who are uncut experience MORE pleasure from sex than men who have been circumcised!.
That extra bit of skin is not only there to satisfy the man, it can be felt by the woman during intercourse too!. It is my opinion that an uncircumcised penis *feels* better, if you know what I mean!.
My husband is uncircumcised!. Personally, I find an uncircumcised penis preferable to a circumcised one!. Uncircumcised men are much more sensitive down there, they get much more enjoyment out of sex than circumcised men!. Before meeting my husband, I had never been with an uncircumcised man before!. I had also never been able to reach orgasm during sex before!. I am 29 years old, and FINALLY had my first orgasm during sex when I met my husband, at age 27!. The foreskin REALLY helps, tremendously!!
There is a GOOD reason that hospitals in Canada are starting to ban routine circumcisions on infants!.!.!. because circumcision is an unnecessary, cruel, barbaric procedure with no real proven benefits!.

All of the so called "benefits" of circumcision are bogus!. Who do you think pays for these studies!? The only real benefit is for the doctor, considering that the doctor performing the operation gets to charge you an extra $300-500, and the hospital bills you out the wazoo for equipment!.

It is a myth that the uncircumcised penis is dirty and requires all kinds of special cleaning and retracting the foreskin of baby to *clean* it!.
The truth is that uncircumcised penis requires NO special attention!. No extra washing!. When the child is old enough, the foreskin will retract and then he can wash under while he is showering!. Pretty simple if you ask me!. G-d designed it that way!.!.!. Neat, huh!? Do you think that G-d made a mistake when designing penises!? I don't think so!.
I could really go on forever about this!. I am vehemently against circumcision because I think it is cruel, barbaric, and unnecessary!.

im 14 and am circumcised!. it doesnt bother me one bit!. im not teased or anything!. (not sure what type of locker room he will be in) the only downside that i would see, is the scar!. it is your choice!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am not in favour of circumcision!. I believe it to be a completely unnecessary procedure unless there is an immediate medical reason such as Phimosis (tight foreskin)!.
