Question: Any male nurses out there!?
Im thinking about becoming a nurse, but I feel a little strange because most nurses are females!. I need some encouragement and feedback to why male nurses is awesome and is a good career!. Thank you!. much appreciated!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not a male nurse!. But I have had male nurses take care of me in emergency rooms and hospitals before!. So they do exist!. and you are not alone!. Male nurses are becoming much more common as gender roles / biases gradually disappear and become less important!.
Why is it a good career!? Well, there's already a shortage of nurses!. And that shortage is going to become a critical shortage in the coming years as more of the baby boomers age and need more access to health care!. You are pretty much guaranteed a good job if you decide to become a nurse!. And you will also be fulfilling a critical role in the health care system, since as I said, there is going to be a critical shortage of nurses in the coming years according to industry analysts!.
The fact that you are male also gives you another advantage!. You are right that nursing is traditionally a female profession!. So male nurses are in high demand to help balance things a little bit!.

I'm a male nurse, and I simply enjoy working with my female counterparts!. I get a front seat into their world!. They about stuff we normally wouldn't hear them talk about!. I get a lot of unintentional advice from them about women, just by hearing them talk!.

That's not true, there are loads of male nurses too!. A lot of hospitals segregate the genders, i!.e!. male wards and female wards!. In these hospitals, male nurses are always recruited to work in the male wards!. All the best, have a wonderful career as a nurse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
