I have this guy friend and every time he goes near me he gets an erection!. He's 30 and I'm 23!. He has a girlfriend, so he gets plenty of action at home!. He says no matter what, he can't control it when he's around me!. I can always feel it when he hugs me too!.

As a general rule, erections are not under conscious control!. This is more true for young guys, who often have erections for no reason!. However, this is less common for grown men!. Hearing this excuse from a 30 year old sounds very suspicious to me!. I suspect he is taking a very crude and tasteless method to express his sexual interest in you!. You don't have to put up with this treatment from him if it makes you uncomfortable!. In the workplace it constitutes sexual harassment, and you can enlist help from your personnel office if he continues behavior you've asked him to stop!. Outside the workplace, you can tell him that you don't want to hear about this, and you're not interested!. Refuse to hug him if he's always pressing his erection into you!. Ask him how his girlfriend would like to know how he's acting!. That should cool his jets!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Jim R's answer was good!. And from another guy's point of vies, most erections are due to stimulation, of some sort, either mental or physical!. Especially when the man grows out of puberty!. When a boy hits puberty, there is VERY LITTLE control, over when or where, erections can happen!. But grown men, usually, more often than not, have to have some form of stimulation, to achieve an erection!.
