I learned about puberty in 5th grade (10 years old) and learned about sex when I was in 6th or 7th grade (11 or 12)!. They explained everything pretty well, plus I had already heard a lot from my friends, so I thought that I knew more or less everything!. I was, of course wrong, but most of it I learned on my own!. My dad didn't actually talk to me about it a whole lot!. He just confirmed some of the things I learned in school and that it was natural, etc!.
It really depends on the parent, it's different for everyone!. I had that talk when I was about your age!. If you want to, I'm sure your dad would be more than happy to explain it to you if you were to approach him!. it's possible that he's waiting for you to initiate it!. It's awkward at first, but it's a half hour of uncomfortableness for a lifetime of knowledge!. That sounds corny, I know, but it's true!.

If you are having sex or thinking about doing it, you should talk to your dad instead of waiting on him to talk to you!.
Sometimes parents are very weird, and they avoid this talk all together!. That is the worst option b/c that doesn't mean that you won't have sex anyway!.

I never had the "sex talk" or the "birds and bees" talk!. I learned it all from California schooling and thank god to it!. When moving to Nevada the sec education was not the same!.
