Question: Sorry to bother you, but does he need to go to the hospital!?
my fiance has had a headache for the last to days!. its in the front of his head, tight with shooting pains!. he says it feels a bit like a really bad hang over and is slightly nauseous!. now being half four in the morning even i am slightly nauseous because we had an early dinner!.

i get headaches all the time so am finding it difficult to access the level of discomfort and seriousness of this for him!. he is not normally a sufferer but they do tend to hit him hard!.!.!.

do i ned to take him to the hospital!? (please bare in mind we have two young dogs who wouldn't understand being left in the night)
i just want to do what right by him!.

ibuprofen is the only painkiller we have and it isn't helping, he says it is a nine in the pain factorWww@Answer-Health@Com

If you go to the hospital with a headache they will just send you away!.

Check if there's a emergency practice open in your local area and book him in!.

You can get the emergency numbers by phoning NHS direct!.

Make sure he doesn't go to sleep!

Rub his hair for him and relax him as much as possible , keep talk to a minimum , sounds like a bad bad migraine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if both of you got a headache at the same time!. your headache can be caused by something you ate or drank!.

drink lots of water!.

if you have instant coffee you can mix about 4 tablespoons of coffee in the same amount of water!. mix well and chug!. you'll get a caffeine buzz but the headache will be better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well if its just a normal run of the mill headach no but if it lasts a few days maybe have him make appt with your family doctor and they can check it out and see if its something minor or more serious!. 9 times out of 10 its just a headach that most people get during there life time!. sounds like a migrain !.!. i doubt there is any need to take him to hospital but you could call the nhs line and they will give you their opinion x there is a self assesment thing online here !.!. ad the number you need to call x

Take him to an emergency department!. They will check him out!. it could be a migraine!. They will give him pain relief and an antiemetic to stop any sickness!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like it's a migraine!. Get him to sleep in a dark room with a cold flannel over his head and give him some quiet, he'll be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
