Do electric blankets ruin your testicles? ?!

Question: Do electric blankets ruin your testicles!? !?
I know there is scientific research that concludes heated seats in cars can cause testicular cancer and even make you sterile, but does the same go for electric blankets!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Neither increases the risk of testicular cancer!. However the testicles are designed to be kept about 2 degrees below body temperature!. Persistent overheating does temporarily reduce sperm count and thus fertility!.

( To prevent this Rhianna prefers me to wear a kilt and go 'commando'!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think that heat just decreases your sperm count!. Like, if you go hot-tubbing a lot, it may be harder for you and your wife to get pregnant!. I have heard the same goes for heated seats and electric blankets, though it seems a little bit dubious!. You have a LOT of sperm!. It only takes 1!.

If you can cite the exact research that links heated seats to testicular cancer, then I will be amazed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lots of scientific studies are worthless, with preconceived results!. Electric blankets will keep your balls warm, doesn't get hot enough to cook them or kill sperm to any great degree!. And if you aren't trying to father a child, who cares if they are getting cooked!. You will always produce sperm throughout life!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

A study at the State University of New York in Stony Brook, NY, led by Yefim Sheynkin, revealed that the combination of the legs-together posture used to balance a laptop, and the heat generated by the processor, elevated scrotal temperature by up to 2!.8 degrees centigrade during use!. Another test is in the offing to see if such exposure directly affects sperm quality and fertility!. The relationship of heat to lowered fertility is well documented and the effects of heat on sperm production, motility and quality are transient!. Consequently men who want to have babies are often advised to avoid hot baths, saunas and tight warm pants!.

The increasing popularity of laptops, and the fact that their use is not short term or occasional, but rather repetitive and constant with the same heat exposure a few times a day over years, has indicated a long term effect on the men who use them!. Studies examining the effects of the temperature on male genitals have shown a temperature rise of 2!.1 degrees centigrade while simply sitting in the closed leg position necessary to balance a laptop, and when the computer is placed on the lap, an additional rise in temperature of !.7 degrees!. The added heat can have an effect on sperm production and quality!.
The scrotum and testicular vasculature is an efficient mechanism to
counteract the effects of heating!.

While Dr!. Centola may have found evidence of effects on motility in her
population, we found no evidence of effects on motility in studies of the
same persons in summer and winter, men who worked outdoors in the vicinity
of New Orleans, Louisiana, an extremely hot climate!. There were, however,
substantial differences in sperm concentrations, total sperm counts, and
motile sperm counts, with these being reduced 20-30 percent in summer, as
compared to winter!. Similar differences have been observed also among men
working in air conditioned settings in New Orleans or living in cool
climates such as Edinburgh, UK or Lille, France!.

Barring substantial occupational heat exposure and possibly from sitting for
long hours driving a taxi or at a desk when the scrotum may be in contact
with the perineal skin instead of hanging free as it does when standing,
heat is probably of only minor importance!.

Probably, scientists can find risks with practically anything!.

Just use one if you want to!. Most Health and Safety is nonsense, if you listened to every theory, you'd do nothing and be too scared to eat anything! =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the heat is moderate, just the same as would a heated ordinary blanket, there's no reason how it could affect the testicles!. Be sure not to over heat it though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you sleep with your balls on the electric blanket, switch it off before you get into bed - you know it makes sense!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wow!. We should put heated seats in every car!.!.!.and electric blankets to every moron that insists on breeding!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Only if they short circuit across your nads!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

that's weird, I have heard that before, I need to research itWww@Answer-Health@Com
