pilonidal cysts are more common in overweight men who are sweaty!. Keep clean and fresh, wear cotton underwear and don't sit and let your butt get sweaty for long periods of time!. When you feel one starting see your dr asap for antibiotics!.
There is no way to stop these happening, some people are more prone to them than others!.
