Question: Is it time to move on!?
I have been in a relationship with this guy for 9 years!. Im 25 and hes 27 and a firefighter, we both live in new york!. We have had the occasional fights every couple goes through as his job can be very demanding, during that time i became pregnant but lost the baby after 5months!. We got engaged the start of last year, and were due to be married last December but i found out that 2 weeks before the wedding at his bachelor party he had slept with another woman a few years older than him, it was a one night stand due to a lot of alcohol!. He told me himself and swore that was the only time he had & will ever do something that stupid!. I canceled the wedding and decided to have some time on my own to think things through and he has been doing everything to get me to give him another chance,like writing a song about me and singing it at the local bar!.I wanna be with him again but i have to forget what he has done!.He works with my brother so i see him alot through him!.Also on friday gone he asked me to go for coffee with him later that day & i agreed and ended up he booked a table at a restaurant!. Afterwards we ended up sleeping together, i woke up early & left thinking i did a stupid thing!. i havnt been around him yet!. I love him, I really need help on knowing what to do and please no sarcastic replies

In his line of work he will always be approached by females and you two can make a wonderful life with each other, just let him know he has steak at home not that hamburger you find on the street Corner!. In a way you have already answered your own question!. If you want to be with this person you have to put the other woman thing behind you!. You have to put it behind you for good!. If it's going to play on your mind for the next 20 years and you live your life suspecting him of cheating every time he goes anywhere without you then it's better to finish the relationship now!.
If you decide to continue I suggest you tell him very clearly that he has used up his one and only chance with you!. Tell him if it happens again there will be no second time!. Explain that his fancy song writing, singing, and restaurant dinners won't work next time around!.
So that's the best I can offer you!. Before you decide make sure you are absolutely confident you can put the other woman problem behind you for ever!. Most people are not capable of this (refer to answer #2 for an example)!. Good luck to you both!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I can not even imagine the amount of pain you've endured recently!.
First of all, I am so sorry for the loss of you baby!. I went through this myself on 10-31-08!. I know it is devastating and difficult to overcome!.
Then when you had such a wonderful future with this man to look forward to, he cheated!.!.!. Such a cliche, but at his bachelor's party, no less!.
*sigh!* I am so sorry for what you've had to go through!.
I can't speak for you in your life, but I know what I would do if it were mine: I'd leave!. Gone!. So long, Sucker!
Cheating is the ultimate lie!. And I do not care how much alcohol he sucked off a stripper's breast, how terrified he is of marriage, how sad he is from the loss of the baby, etc!.!.!.!.!. YOU DO NOT HURT THE ONE THAT YOU LOVE THE MOST!. I would feel that marrying him would be a mistake and I would never be able to get the image out of my mind of him making love to another woman!.
Men never have good excuses why they cheat, but they can come up with some pretty good reasons!. If you are planning to stay with him, may I suggest that you get to the bottom of why this happened so you can participate in never allowing it to happen again!.!.!.
