Answers:
No, not true at all!. most guys worldwide (80%) still have their foreskin and have no problems!. I am intact (still have my foreskin) and would be mad if I had been mutilated at birth!. Nobody has the right to alter a babies body - especially when there is no benefit to the procedure and doctors now see it as cosmetic!. I'll try to give some information to you!.

We know that circumcision is a part of the Jewish and Muslim faiths!. It is kind of an offering to their God!. Christians however have no such obligation!. So why do Americans circumcise their babies you may ask!?

Circumcision was originally introduced in the late 1800's!. It was done by crackpot doctors who thought that it would cure various diseases such as paralysis and mental illness!. It then took hold as a method of discouraging masturbation!. By the way, it was only taken up in English speaking countries!. Presumably foreign doctors had a few more brain cells!.

Circumcision never really took hold in Britain and by the 1950's it had stopped completely!. Less than 1% are circumcised in Britain today!. It began to die out in Australia and Canada in the 1970's; today less than 10% are circumcised in those 2 countries!. In the USA it has declined, though not by much, from a high of about 85% to about 60% today!. The USA is now the only Western country that still performs this barbaric procedure!. European countries like France, Germany Holland and the Scandinavian countries have never done it!.

Why is circumcision bad!?

First understand how important the foreskin is!. The foreskin contains nerves!. These are specialized nerves found nowhere else in the penis!.
Without the foreskin, you cannot masturbate properly!. Intact men masturbate by moving the foreskin up and down, like so:

As the skin moves up and down, the nerves on the underside of the foreskin are stimulated!.

Further damage is done because the foreskin is a protective layer of the penis!. With the foreskin gone, the glans is exposed!. Firstly it dies out!. Secondly, it rubs on clothes; this causes the glans skin to become toughened!. Both these things further reduce sensitivity!. This page gives a good illustration of the damage done:

Circumcision obviously affects sex!. Women and men enjoy sex more when the man has a foreskin!. This page lists the ten reasons why:

There are some studies that say that there is a mild protective benefit of circumcision in relation to certain conditions!. On the other hand, there are studies showing no effect, and some showing the opposite!. But if there is any benefit, the conditions are not serious and/or very rare and the health advantage is extremely small!. So there is no real health benefit - the losses and risks of the operation certainly outweigh the supposed benefits!. Here is a good page to find out more:

It is a lot easier in terms of care to leave the baby intact!. It is not true that there is a lot of care if you leave your child intact!.
Circumcised boys require more care!. They have an open wound to contend with!. because the foreskin is not protecting the glans, the pee-hole is vulnerable to infections by faeces and urine!. Urine has the ability to inflame the glans!. Another thing you have to worry about if you circumcise is that the severed skin may re-attach!. This can lead to the skin adhering to the glans and forming a skin-bridge!. You can see what a skin-bridge looks like here:

Care for an intact boy is easy!. It requires no care!. You should not pull the foreskin back or try to clean under the foreskin!. First, there is no need as there is little space in between foreskin and glans, and secondly it is damaging!. The foreskin is attached to the glans at birth and should be left to separate naturally!. This takes some time - most will have separated by age 5 , but some take longer - up until the teenage years!. Whatever you do you must not try to pull it back - the child must be the first to do this!. Once it has retracted, the child is in no great danger, despite the scare stories that people pass around!. The penis is cleaner than the vagina - there is no risk of infection if you don't clean under it!. Most people do clean under the foreskin though!. This takes a few seconds in the shower!.
