Help on getting a six-pack!?!

Question: Help on getting a six-pack!!?
I am 14 years old and i want to develop a six-pack, I am average build, quite muscly, have a faint two-pack!.
I started doing 100 sit-ups on a night time for a few days but I found that I got bored of it and I just stopped doing it!.
Does anybody know any good ways to make me stick at it and not give up!?
Any advice would be very much appreciated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
First off, you are physically old enough to develop a six pack! I had a six pack at 12 and a friend in my class was pure muscle!.

Sit-ups are not the best exercise for abs, if you wanted to build your biceps, would you crunch your arm to your shoulder a 100 times!?!? No! Lay on your back hold a weight or light dumbbell straight up and do crunches, you wont need to do any where near as many, and you wont get bored!. There are many alternatives to sit-ups, go on youtube and search for 'best ab exercises' many will use a stability ball as well as dumbbellss, but you may need supervision or training first, watch as many of the videos as you can!. Don't overdo it!

Above all your nutrition should be right, you could have the best abs in the world but they could be covered with fat!. Great muscle tone is achieved from 80% nutrition 20% exercise!

Hope that helps!. PaulWww@Answer-Health@Com

Blimey another question on this subject!

That's about 4 within the last 5 minutes!!

As I've just said to another lad a bit younger than you, you are too young at the moment to develop a 'proper six pack' as you are still growing!.

By all means yes exercise as it is good for you, but don't worry about the six pack issue until you have fully matured physically at 17 or so!.

It took me 4 months to get my six pack, but I'm in my 30's and a fully grown man so any advice I give you won't necessarily work for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just developing the abs is not enough!. They are covered by a layer of fat - and that can be very difficult to get rid of!. Some people don't have a body type that will burn that fat away - they can do all the right things and not see the full abs layer!.

In any case, to get them visible, you have to get down to 5% of body fat - that's tough!. You do it by exercise and diet!. This is not recommended at 14!. Wait until you are 16 - you need that body fat at the moment to support your growth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
