Why are leg muscles so difficult to develop, especially for slim men ?!

Question: Why are leg muscles so difficult to develop, especially for slim men !?
Don't women ever consider how difficult it is for a man's leg muscles to become as defined as his biceps/ triceps !

I started training 2 years ago at aged 16!. I was always a very slim guy, and even now that, some muscle mass is developing, there is next to no development in my legs!.

I started with 3-4 sessions in a week, now I try to do it daily!. During my rest days, I usually walk long distances on purpose!.

I have a lot of stamina, so on a good day of exercise, I can go through 8-10 different exercises, at least four of them being legs!.

But alas, if it weren't for the obvious progress in my upper body, I sometimes feel like its pointless, because of how little me legs have developed!.

I know that women complain about muscular men who appear "disporportioned" but its not my fault!.

I come from a family of small legged men!.
Heck, even my 12 years senior brother, despite his training, still remains overall , very skinny, with even skinnier legs!.

The best way I can describe my current physical appearance is:

very slim, trim, with the lowest fat- muscle ratio, a slightly muscled upper body, and unimpressive legs!.

My dad was a friggin sports teacher all his life ! so I don't think I am doing anything wrong!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hey man that's the thing!.!.!.you are training to much and not allowing your body to rest!.

Athleticism can be looked at on a continuum, at the very left you have endurance athletes that are very slim, but are not very fast or very strong, and on the right you have either powerlifters or body builders who are very big and strong, but couldn't run a mile to save their lives!.

Now it is certainly not impossible for you to see development in your legs, and I know how you can get there, trust me, as far as lower body development, I meet most Elite strength standards for men ( that's impressive, that's less than 1% of the population)

the question you have to ask yourself is, "what are my goals" what do you want to achieve, do you want to be HUGE or a good runner, or somewhere in between like a basketball player or a football player!.!.!.!.soccer player!? do you care most about appearance or functionality of your body!.!.!.!.or both!?

My guess is, you'd like to become bigger!.!.!.!.well the way to do that is to follow a hypertrophy modeled macro cycle as part of a periodized plan!.!.!.!.!.

Typical it'd look like this

Anatomical adaptation: (<65% 1RM)
Light weight, long distance running, here we are developing an endurance base and are trying to lose excess body fat

Hypertrophy: (70-85% 1RM(one rep max)
this is where we lower the volume of our workouts and focus on resting recovering and EATING AND SLEEPING, these are key to getting bigger, since that's what the word "hypertrophy" basically means

Max strength(85% and above 1RM(one rep max): This is where wer are trying to get really really really strong by using maximal loads

Power (too varied and you probably are lost by now:
this is where we translate what we have developed

Now I know that not everyone what's to follow as specialized a routine as this, but the truth is, it doesnt take up that much time, my advice to you is to ask an available fitness professional about these concepts and work with them!.!.!.!.

advice for now is to stop working out so much eat more, and like the girl said, try cycling

also for right now do these exercises as they will even help your upper body develop ever more!!!!!

Squats, Deadlifts, Romanian Deadlifts (RDL's) Leg curl, Lunges, step-ups, calf raises!.!.
