Areola Question........?!

Why does my areola stretch sometimes to the point where the nipples are flat!. It gets up to the size of a half dollar when stretched fully!. But when im cold it shrinks to smaller than a quarter and the nipples are normal and not flat anymore!.
They are usually always stretched out though because im not cold most of the time!. I do have extra weight in that area so if i lose the weight will the areolas get smaller and stay that way and also will it go away as i get older!?

Your areola acts the same way the rest of your skin does--it contracts when you are cold and expands when you are warm!. The expanding of your skin allows more surface area for heat to dissipate off of!. A "flat" nipple is actually the natural state!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
