If you have a C/R that fits comfortably you can go longer then the recommended 30 minutes!. You can even add to that time by relieving the pressure periodically too, this will allow your body to exchange the blood in your penis!.
The danger from wearing a C/R too long comes from the blood not being able to exchange and it could begin to coagulate, which in turn could lead to an infection and in the worst case scenario, amputation!. Pretty much the same risks one would suffer if he had a Priapism!.
If ever you have pain or discomfort from wearing a C/R, remove it immediately! However, once you find one that works the best for you and gain some experience using it, you'll certainly enjoy it!

I actually have a pretty good story for this one!.
my brother is a nurse who works in the ER!.
There was this one guy that came in because he had put one on and left it on for too long!. it was obviously too tight or something because it became tighter and he couldnt get it off and he began to loose circulation there!. He didnt completely loose it, but he did have to cut some skin off of it and it had to be made shorter because of the dead skin!.
So yah, i'm assuming thats a pretty hefty consequence!.
