Within a relationship with another:

If you are in a relationship with someone you are depriving them of your fidelity!.

You will find yourself lying about doing it to maintain a sound relationship which will further strain the relationship!.

If you have sexual relations infrequently yet masturbate frequently, your partner may become suspicious of this because of the lesser amounts of fluids being emitted, and perhaps even the occasional odors unless you are fastidious in your hygiene after each masturbatory event!. There also may be a certain amount of disinterest in sex and exhaustion due to the solitary acts of self gratification!.

You will even perhaps feel guilty of doing it which puts a strain on the relationship as well!.

The guilt would be magnified if there is any religious or other belief that prohibits masturbation!.

Self gratification also can become the solitary means by which one can become aroused at all, eventually leading to ED and other psychological problems!.

Outside a relationship with another person:

If you pull on your penis too hard habitually, or use pumps or other external devises to enhance your masturbatory experience, you can damage nerves in the penis, which may result in permanent damage and inability to maintain an erection ever again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Side effects of masturbation is controversial; wether it does more good than bad vice versa!. I'm not talking about crazy myths like hairy palms etc but it is believed that too much masturbation can cause damage to you both physically and psychologically/emotionally!. On the other hand some claim that occassional masturbation may help prevent the development of prostate cancer!.!.!.

As far as the religious issue, yes in Islam and Christianity it IS forbidden in 'most' cases and premissible in other!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
