Will lifting dumbells stunt my growth?!

Question: Will lifting dumbells stunt my growth?
I'm 14, and i'm just doing 9kg bicep curls three days a week, 8 sets of 3 reps.

Answers:

Do you mean barbells over the head? My opinion for both of these is "no" I don't think it well stunt your growth. Look at Mr. Colombo. What you are going to have to watch out for is muscle tears, pulls, strains, back problems, hip,leg & knee problems, joint cartilage disintegration, stress on your internal organs such as your heart, crushing or rupturing back disks, and etc. Just take it easy. Don't rush. Let the body tear itself down and rebuild itself at it's own pace. Go to a gym and get profession instruction on lifting techniques. etc. I hope that I have given you some good advice and have been able to help you. By the way stay away from those protein tablets that are suppose to help you gain or lose weight. Best Wishes. - GDH

No it won't. But it will overtrain the muscle which won't let it grow. Don't bother.
