A good start would be to do body weight exercises, such as press ups, sit ups, squats, etc.
You can do these without having to buy any equipment or having to go to a gym. Start off by getting used to doing them properly, and once you have mastered that, start to increase the number that you do. If you start off doing this every other day, you can increase to 5 or 6 sessions a week as you get fitter.
You should also include some cardiovascular training, so once or twice a week go for a run, cycle or swim.
Remember to build up gradually, and get plenty of rest. You can plan a circuit training type session where you do some press ups, rest for a few minutes, then do some sit ups, followed bt a rest etc.
Try to vary what you do then you'll get an all over benefit.
