There must have been some guys that come up with live sperm at 3 months, otherwise that wouldn't make you come back at 6 months just to make sure. If they do not carterize the cord ends, or use clips, there is a possibility that the cord can grow back together in the 3 month healing process. What is the big deal? You're w@nking anyway. Take them the sample, and let them look. It is better to do that than have an accident!

Every doctor has a different opinion on that. Unfortunately the vas tubes and Cowper’s glands are not perfectly smooth. The sperm can reside in the plumbing for weeks or months.

Back in the late 80’s when I had my vasectomy at a non-profit clinic, they told me to come back at 12 and 24 weeks (or something like that). My test came up clean both times.

Some doctors are picky these days because clients have been suing them for the cost of babies born post vasectomy. If they have something in the record that says they told you to come in at such and such time, and you fail to do so, then they have an “easy out” when it comes to litigation. All they need to say is you are a “non compliant” patient. Keep in mind that may procedures and policies are in place to protect the doctor from liability (not so much to protect your health).

To be safe I used condoms for almost a year after that. I also go get mine checked again every 4-5 years. My insurance pays for it. Better safe than sorry.

It depends if you have the surgery performed in India or in Singapore.
In India, all your testicles (two, I hope) plus Kidneys plus other spares would go missing if the Hon. Dr. Kalmadi or Rev. Dr. Raja has touched you.

Count your Vases or go in for hysterectomy or oophorectomy.

By the way, if you have opted Singapore, how can you expect sperms in the ejaculate after vasectomy. 10 weeks is a good dry-run period. Cheers.

Just had mine yesterday. Dr said to come back in 3 months to give a sample because if the vas would reconnect, it usually happens in the first 3 months. Gave me 2 sample cups though because he said they are not always completely clear after 3 months. I think he said come back 3 months after that if still not clear. He recommended 25-30 ejaculations.

OK I do not know what that other guy was talking about.

There must be a medical reason to go back after this many weeks. I had a sample done at 8 weeks and was clear, but they still said come back.

Better safe than sorry, do what they ask. They are professionals.
