Question: My husband gets shaving bumps on face from shaving every day?
my husband has these small bumps on neck area that bleed sometimes when he shaves. they heal a little if he doesn't shave for a few days but come back again when he starts shaving daily for office. its quite painful but he doesn't want to stop shaving daily. he has tried both electric shavers and razors but no use. he doesn't use after shave mostly. is there anything which can be done about it?

Shave in the direction of the hair growth not against it. Make sure the razor is sharp. And use a cooling aftershave with a lotion. This worked for me. The main issue is usually shaving to often and going against the grade of the hair. This causes the hair to be cut to short beneath the skin and then become and ingrown hair which is becomes a little bump which is then nicked next time shaving. I only shave once a week and lots of people seem to like the stubble look.

I used to have the same problem. Try this:
First, and most important, get him to use a non scented moisturiser twice a day, like after shaving and before bed (Oil of Olay 'beauty' fluid, or E45). When he shaves, he should use warm to hot water and soap his beard/bristles well, then rinse, then repeat and rinse. Then, use a shaving oil and rub into his bristles (Wilkinson own is cheap but good, or Boots). Then, use a good shaving GEL and rub gently into his bristles. Using fresh warm/hot water, with a drop of fairy liquid in it, and a good wet shaver with new blades, shave his face the way he feels comfortable, shaking the shaver in the water frequently so that the blades do not clog up. When he has finished, change the water and rinse face well, then pat dry. Follow with a moisturiser and gently rub into his face. Also, get him to check his vitamin intake, as a lack of vitamin B may cause skin dryness. May take a couple of weeks to see any improvement, but keeping his skin moist and the shaving blades wet is crucial. Tell him to never use aftershave on his face. If his face bleeds after shaving, a hot moist flannel held on the skin can give some relief, followed by moisturiser at the time, or later of preferred.

I'm guessing he's black?

That's why, because they have different skin, they have some sort of reaction, it's normal. You need to get some anti bump gel, don't know what it's called but you can just google "anti bump black skin" and you'll find something.

They make depilatory creams for shaving. Kinda like razor less shaving creams for the legs but for your face.

Does your husband have a problem with it?
