Will being over weight hurt me in the long run?!

Question: Will being over weight hurt me in the long run?
Hi, im a 23 year old male 5'10 inches tall and weigh about 190 pounds, for my height i think im suppose to be 150-180 pounds. Will being 190 make that much of a difference? Or should i aim for about 170? 170 is too small and i look and feel weak at that weight.

Answers:

your bmi says you're overweight, but thats not always true.. i know people that have obese bmi's, but that's just because they're really muscely.. whatever you feel good at

Try for 175.
Stand naked before a mirror. If you see anything you don't like - then - make a commitment to YOURSELF to make improvements.

When a person is overweight, there is danger of blood pressure issues, diabetes, cholesterol issues, heart disease, etc.
It shouldn't be all that hard for you get fit as a fiddle. Make some lifestyle changes.
No smoking - no beer/ale - no booze - no drugs - no junk food - no fast food garbage - no sugary sweet soda's.
Eat healthy, drink plenty of water, fruit juices & milk. Snack on lots of RAW fruits & veggies.
Get up one hour early EVERY morning & take a BRISK 30 minute walk - then - do the same thing again in the evening after dinner.
Start doing push ups - sit ups - pull ups - skipping rope - swimming - bike riding - & go bowling.
Get 8 hours sleep each nite. Avoid stress. (A piece of cake!)
