Welcome to puberty Jason. Random erections are just part of the course. There really isn't anything to worry about. Masturbating can help reduce them, but really they happen to everyone for no reason. Your penis could have rubbed against your cloths or anything.
Relax and enjoy them.
I know at this age it's hard not to get embarrassed when it happens, just try to cover it up the best you can and ride it out, they don't last forever. They will get more in control as you get older and learn your body.

Because you're a 13 year old boy, that's why. It's going to keep happening for the next 15 years or so...LOL. There's nothing you can do about it. Once you hit puberty, you'll get erections all the time for no apparent reason. My gfs and I in middle and high school used to play a game to see who could spot the most boys with an erection through the day at school....LOL..I thought it was kinda cute that guys got erections and couldn't do anything to keep them from happening. I suggest you start wearing boxer briefs or something a little snug to keep it from sticking straight out in your shorts. then, at least you'll be able to stand up in class...LOL...Don't worry, it happens to ALL GUYS!
Because you are 13 and puberty is starting. Do not worry it happens to all guys around your age. It is perfectly normal but it can scare you. Many things in puberty can worry you, but don't let it control your life. You will make it through puberty just as the rest of us have.
Well, you SHOULD know by now that all boys get erections from very early in life. And you SHOULD know this is normal. And you should know that erections increase during puberty.
