(MALE) Can I Still Grow?!

Question: (MALE) Can I Still Grow?
I just turned 17 years old MALE, and I am only 5'6". My mother is about my height maybe and inch smaller and my father is around 6 feet/ 6'1" or 2". I have a lot of pubic hair and it looks like the genitalia are pretty much done if not yet already, but i still have decent acne, very oily, and my voice really has not deepened all that much. I also never had a major growth spurt, just slow, constant growing. So can I, 17 y.o., still grow taller even with a lot of pubic hair (as this is what my doctor says is a sign that I am pretty much done) and the rest of the criteria mentioned?

P.S. I feel that I have BARLEY grown taller since 8th grade (I am currently a Junior in High School), so what is this a sign of?

You're stressing yourself out about something you have no control over.
Genetics rule - you cannot re-program genetics.
You cannot MAKE yourself grow taller.
You will not finish puberty until at least age 21 - maybe later.
More growth could be headed your way - nobody knows for sure.
You must be patient & wait to see what all develops.

I stopped growing at 14, no taller, but apparently men don't stop growing until about 30, this tends to be much slower gaining strength and muscle, my brother however was about 18 before hi got to 6ft and he grew 6in in 6 months, it was amazing.

all you can do is make sure you have a really good diet, cut all the junk food (if you have much of this - this is also a reason for your skin) if you are over weight, as you are young and want to grow do not cut calories massively but eat healthily plently of good dairy and good protein and get down to the gym and do a team sport - you may be doing all this already. The right food and activity for growing teenager will assist any growth spurt that may be possible (it will not trigger it - just make the best of it if it comes) also it doesn't hurt to be healthier at any age, i am 40 and getting healthy again and beginning to feel good.

I bet there are plenty of website dedicated to your specific issue just google teenage growth and diet / activity - but ensure you look at a few and get a good cross section of advice, ie no fads.

try not to worry - you have a great life ahead of you,

Chris
