It's not in the manual but it's an option.

It's totally a personal decision. That being said, I'm a 25 yo girl and I have this thing against ANY body hair...on me AND my bf. I don't ask him to shave it ALL off, but I prefer him to be neatly and closely trimmed above his penis and to shave his 'boys'. It just looks neater and cleaner that way to me. Besides, who wants a mouth full of hair. Take it from me, if you keep it trimmed/shaved, you're more likely to get 'extra attention' down there! Sometimes, I can even talk him into letting ME shave them FOR him. LOL, the first time I shaved his 'boys' for him...we had to stop halfway through, because...well...he got a bit distracted...LOL. It was pretty easy to talk him into letting me do it again after that.

personal opinion

just a few years back nearly all guys were "natural"......some of us (me included) trimmed the bush for hygiene (easier to keep dry in hot weather & sports). then all of a sudden the majority of guys are shaving their boyz smooth. I sort of resisted but caved because its sort of expected now - and once I got used to it, like it. And it sure increases the odds that they'll get slurped !!!!!!!

I agree with Connor, it's up to the individual. They can do whatever they want with their own body. There is no "supposed" to.
For example:

are we supposed to smoke? are we supposed to drink? are we supposed to dye our hair? say curse words? People just CHOOSE to do these things.

Some priests will prefer you to shave and look prepubescent.
It seems to be an American thing to mutilate the penis and otherwise use a kinfe or razor around those parts.
Is this a masochistic urge? Self emasculation "because the girls like it"?

This is all up too you, if you would like to have hairless genitals, go for it.
Most guys will do it because they have a female partner who likes their 'private spots' with out hair.

Well, if you're desperate, use a cheap bic razor, or you can buy the special cream that you rub on yourself to make the hair fall off. The shaving thing is a matter of taste.

It is a matter of personal choice. I tried it once but found it very itchy as it started growing back after a few days. I prefer to trim short now, looks great and more it's comfortable!

Personal preference.

I do and have been for many years, you see more and more doing it nowadays. To me, it looks better and feels better and you don't run the risk of catching crabs.

Suppose to? No. Lot's of younger people and even people my age do. It's a choice. There's nothing wrong with it and my hubby and I like it.

The answer is YES, they are "supposed"; take note "supposed"!

Nobody is SUPPOSED to, its a personal choice. It does make it look cleaner. Downside, creates bad batwings!

For personal grooming needs, it is acceptable for a guy to save his manly parts. There is no shame in it.

It helps us keep ourselves clean and look good when naked. Girls also love shaved type.

Obviously it's up to the individual on what he wants to do with his own body.
