Two pretty helpful answers already.
Acne is something that many young men have to live with in their teenage years. There are plenty of over the counter treatments at the drug store but if the acne is really bad, you can go to the doctor for help.
There are anti biotics that will help to clear up bad acne, but you need to take them as directed.
There are also medicated creams available from your doctor,....like NeoMedrol and Tetracycline cream that are effective.
I just took my son to the doctor for this same issue and was told there were new anti biotics on the market now specifically for acne. They worked for my son who had the same problem you described.
If you can expose your back to sunlight, that will go a long way towards clearing it up. I used to love the summers because it meant being out in the sun would free me from acne on my back, chest, and face. If you live in a sunny area, you have a year round natural cure at hand.
Hope this helped

The key to this is exfoliating. Simple, really: just invest in a loofah! One with a long handle might be much easier to reach your back with. I'll leave a picture of one in the source box, if you're not sure what a loofah is.

Then, buy yourself a body wash. Neutragena's Body Clear Body Wash in Pink Grapefruit is a good one (you can buy the non-scented version if you think Pink Grapefruit is too girly). Every time you shower, make sure to scrub your back really good. Just pour some body wash onto the loofah and scrub-a-dub-dub. The loofah will take off any dead skin and prevent it from clogging the pores while the body wash will give some extra protection with some salycilic acid. Keep doing this and you should see results soon.

It's hard to say how long you'll have it. Hormones and genetics are a big part of the reason people suffer with acne, but as long as you keep your skin clean and medicated (but not too overmedicated) you can help combat pimples.

Hope this helps!

Hi.

I have a friend that suffered from acne on his back for long time. He tried a lot of creams and other products without success. Only when he started to follow the acne no more method the back acne disappear. It is not over night but it do the magic.

Good luck.

Everyone says to use pills, creams, and lotions. Those cleared up my skin temporarily, but my acne came back when I stopped using them. It seemed my skin would also build up a tolerance to the lotions I was using--even the Proactiv. (I figured if Proactiv worked for Jessica SImpson, it would work for me--NOT)

I found a book online that describes how you have to attack your skin problems holistically. The other stuff will just make your skin worse in the long run and will cost you a lot of money.
