Fat/Testosterone question?!

Question: Fat/Testosterone question?
Is there any correlation between the fat on the hips and testosterone production?Or body fat overall?

Answers:

Do not listen to the above Mr. Voodoo science nut job - For starters Cortisol promotes the metabolism of fats into energy and I can't even be bothered to fight the rest...

To answer your question:

There are studies that show a correlation between overweight men and lower testosterone levels though these studies generally focus on older and obese men, for some of whom hormone therapy may be required.

If you are concerned about this and overweight then losing any excess weight will always be helpful for both hormone production and overall well being.

Gentle exercise and a healthy varied diet will be all you need.

If, by chance, you are younger and concerned that your weight might be affecting your physical development I wouldn't be too concerned as people develop at different speeds.

Not misinformed Voodoo nut job

Tim is right by saying. "there are studies that show a correlation between overweight men and lower testosterone levels though these studies generally focus on older and obese men, for some of whom hormone therapy may be required." However he is also in violation of Yahoo's Community Standards and the Terms of Service by calling other members derogatory names such as a voodoo nut case, etc. I know there is a lot of misinformation on this site but it's not civil to be calling people names. My advice for you would be to try losing some weight and start getting some exercise. Both of these practices will help to increase your testosterone. Weight lifting is my choice of exercise but by simply walking it will do a whole lot for any one who doesn't do much exercising.

fat on hips is related to insulin being high..drink apple cider vinegar and put cinnamon on your food. Fat around the belly is related to cortisol..take branch chain amino acids to lower this. Testosterone will help you lose weight because when testosterone is high cortisol is low. Thats why weight training is good for burning fat.

THE THINGS I HAVE SAID ARE FACT..HOW DO I KNOW? CUZ I GOT AN 8 PACK SO WHOEVER WANTS TO SEE WHO HAS THE BEST BODY BETWEEN ME AND THESE FOOLS WHO WANNA BASH ME LETS ALL GET ON WEBCAM AND SEE.
