Nutmeg - Recreational Drug
Nutmeg as a recreational drug is not very popular, the reason being it's strong taste and the undesired side effects produced on consuming it. Nutmeg, though used as a spice in many preparations, is difficult to consume directly because of its horridly bitter taste. Its strong taste and texture alone is sufficient in causing nausea and vomiting. Moreover, dry mouth, that accompanies the use of nutmeg is very unpleasant. However the effects of nutmeg high are short term and do not last for too long. Nutmeg being inexpensive and readily available, its use as a recreational drug is quite common in prison inmates who had access to the kitchen, and also with those who are unable to obtain the illicit drugs.

Nutmeg high may have varying effects from person to person. It may produce serious effects in some cases while it can be completely inactive as a drug in others. Moreover the side effects can get real nasty with some people and hence many avoid the use of nutmeg as a drug. There could also be some serious long term health risks associated with the use of nutmeg. Read more on nutmeg substitute.

So, this was all about nutmeg high and its effects. To conclude, I would say that it would be better to keep the use of nutmeg limited as a spice, in order to stay away from its unpleasant side effects!

It is really not good to get high on anything, especially on alcohol or drugs, the results is about the same on all of it as well as being addictive, and believe me you don't want to do that

I will admit that I tried this MANY years ago...and it was a big mistake. Just made me sick...and sick of even the smell of nutmeg...for many years.
