Getting circumcised for the second time?!

Question: Getting circumcised for the second time?
I had the surgery 2 weeks ago, the doctor made a half-circumcision on me, but I thought it was supposed to be a full or complete circumsicion. Can I ask for a complete circumcision again? could I have side effect because of that? has anyone gone through this before?

First of all, you need to wait until your penis has completely healed. It might just look like a "half-circumcision" because your skin is still swollen. Wait for that to go down first.

Now, you CAN ask to be circumcised again and tighter, but that's probably not advisable. Your poor penis has suffered enough trauma! Side effects are the same as any surgical procedure: pain, improper healing, infection, etc. Again, not advisable. As long as your penis works and isn't causing you any physical/medical problems, don't meddle with it.

Ideally you and the doctor should have discussed during the consultation before the circumcision exactly how much skin was to be removed. Either this didn't happen or he failed to remove what had been agreed if you were expecting a complete circumcision (as one reasonably would!)

Some doctors tend to err on the side of conservation, especially when the circumcision was medically necessary rather than at the request of the patient.

At just two weeks after circumcision you cannot tell properly how much foreskin was removed and it may look as if less was taken than expected. This is because the area is very swollen and will be for another month at least.

If after 6-8 weeks you still appear to have too much skin left then you should contact the doctor who circumcised you and register your dissatisfaction. He may ask to examine you, which you should let him do. Any necessary correction should be performed without further fee, but the doctor may want you to wait 6-9 months from the original circumcision to allow everything to absolutely fully settle down and the area of the scar to even out before doing further surgery there - this is a perfectly normal timescale and will give a much better overall finish than re-cutting too early.

In the meantime, follow the post-operative instructions of your surgeon but if he didn't give you any you can find some useful hints at http://www.circinfo.com/prepandcare/pac.…

Yes you can ask for a second one however you will have to pay for the second one which usually costs just as much as the first.

This is why you research well ahead of time and discuss the type of cut you want with your surgeon. However your surgeon should have talked with you about it.

You do need to wait at LEAST 8 weeks before making a decision. At 2 weeks your penis looks nothing like it's going to when it's fully healed. There is still a ton of swelling. Most likely that skin you are seeing will go away when the swelling goes down.

Well if I had not been cut at birth I would have never had it done the first time, little lone the second. You must love pain
