What should I do about the growth on my toe?!

Question: What should I do about the growth on my toe?
Several months ago, I noticed a small growth on my right index toe. I ignored it, mainly because it wasn't causing me any pain. Now, it seems to have grown and whenever it hits something, it hurts. I'd say it's a wart, but I haven't seen anything online that would indicate that's what it is.

It is flesh-colored, about 1 cm in diameter, and 1 cm high. It seems to have split into two, with both sides growing up. There does appear to be dead skin at the end.

What is it, and what should I do about it? Thanks.

It sounds like it may be an ingrown toe nail....which is an infection that is underneath the skin that causes the skin to raise and be very sore. I would soak in in warm water for 10 minutes (or as long as the water stays warm), lightly squeeze it to see if puss comes out (that would indicate an infenction), then put neosporin, or any other antibiotic cream to see if there is any improvement after a few times of doing that. If there is none, it may be a fungal growth, in which case you could buy cream from a drug store or go to the doctor.
