In the male body, there are 2 fluids that will exit the penis when having sex or masturbating: Sperm or Semen. The latter of which is most commonly referred to as pre-*** because it exits first.

Here's what the PP.com glossary says for both Pre-*** and Semen:

pre-ejaculate
The liquid that oozes out of the penis during sexual excitement before ejaculation; produced by the Cowper’s glands. Does not contain sperm, but may pick up sperm remaining in the urethra from previous ejaculations. Also called “pre-***.”

semen
Fluid containing sperm that is ejaculated during sexual excitement. Semen is composed of fluid from the seminal vesicles, fluid from the prostate, and sperm from the testes.

So there's your sex ed lesson for the day. Now go read the Bible for an hour so I don't have to feel dirty! ROFL j/k :p

Pre-ejaculate (also known as pre-ejaculatory fluid, preseminal fluid, or Cowper's fluid, and colloquially as pre-***) is the clear, colorless, viscous fluid that emits from the urethra of a man's penis when he is sexually aroused. It is similar in composition to semen, but has some significant chemical differences.

The presence of sperm in the fluid appears to be rare. Pre-ejaculate is believed to function as a lubricant and an acid neutralizer.

Popular belief states that pre-ejaculate may contain sperm that can cause pregnancy, which is a common basis of argument against the use of coitus interruptus (withdrawal) as a contraceptive method. However, some studies have found that withdrawal could be almost as effective as condoms in preventing pregnancy.

There have been several studies that conclude no sperm is present, and thus, pre-ejaculate is ineffectual at causing pregnancy.
It is likely, however, that pre-ejaculate that follows a recent ejaculation will contain sperm, though urinating will flush the urethra of remaining spermatozoa.

Hope this answers your question.....

First of all Planned Parenthood is far from a reliable source. Their only reason for existance is to murder babies. So, think about it. The last thing they would want to admit is the presence of sperm in anything.

Second, precum does contain sperm, just not the amount that is in a full ejaculation.

Well if they say there is no sperm in pre ejaculatory fluid, then they are 100% wrong. Just ask the literally millions of women who have gotten pregnant from the "pull out method". It is absolutely an established fact that pre ejactulatory fluid contains sperm cells.

since the lubricant in question comes from the same place as sperm, it is reasonable that the may be a slight chance that it may contain sperm. It may explain unplanned pregnancy where the guy swears that he did not climax inside... have you ever heard this one?

I have a 29 year old daughter that would dispute that claim from Planned Parenthood.
