Is the penis considered a muscle?!

Question: Is the penis considered a muscle?
Answers:

No. It's simply tissue that become erect when filled with blood.
The biggest muscle is the heart.

OF COURSE there are muscles in one... otherwise you wouldn't get an orgasm. :)

It contains a lot of smooth muscle, such as the corpus cavernosum, corpus spongiosus

PLEASE do not listen to the other posts, they are wrong. You have different types of muscles, cardiac, skeletal, smooth, ... and smooth muscles are the ones used by your organs such as intestines and your eye. The penis happens to be one that utilizes it. In fact, it is similar to the female anatomy in that respect :)

To prove my point check wikipedia:
"In some circumstances, release of nitric oxide precedes relaxation of muscles in the corpora cavernosa and corpus spongiosum, in a process similar to female arousal. " <<<wow. nails the point :D :D cooool

Yes, there is lots of blood.. but it's still a muscle.

Edit: To the answer with the PC muscle... the PC muscle is NOT part of the penis.

nah its just tissue which everyone before me made pretty clear. lol. didnt know the heart was a muscle, thought it was an organ lol u learn somethin new everyday!

edit to something i did know: theres this thing called a PC muscle (i think it regulates ur pee/ejac. flow) so i guess you can include that if ya want :P
