Nude - fair enough - but walking around with an erection - that's a bit over the top!

Being nude in the locker room and showers is definitely normal.

A lot of guys at my school trim their pubes, but nobody completely shaves them off.

Erections don't happen all the time, but they do happen. Most guys try to cover them up so no one notices. But some guys just decide to own it and show it off. And the thing is once one guy starts walking around with his erection out all of a sudden lots of other guys start throwing bones too. It has nothing to do with being gay - it's just that seeing a big erection bouncing around gets guys thinking about sex. You can't not think about sex seeing that. And that gets other guys hard and it starts spreading.

It's like when one person yawns and all of a sudden everyone else starts yawning. Well erections spread from one guy to others the same way. One guy gets hard and decides not to hide it and the next thing you know half the guys in the gym class are hard!

Kind of sounds like you go to a gay gym, dude. The walking around completely nude part is normal, but I don't understand what everyone is so excited about. The only way that would be normal is if everyone at the gym is very young because that sort of thing tends to be uncontrollable when you are a teenager. If these are a bunch of grown men walking around hard I would stay away from that place, unless you're into that sort of thing.

Well there is no such thing as normal only average. And it's becoming more and more popular for guys to wear thongs and jock straps. But the pubic hair thing is a personal preference and it's commons for a guy to get an erection when changing clothes with others around especially if they're in their teens and such. And just do your business and get out if it bothers you, that's what I would do if it bothered me but it wouldn't bother me. It doesn't matter to me

Yes, in the men's locker room nude is normal, not showering nude hiding to change, and wearing anything in the steam and sauna or hot tub is abnormal, sometimes guys just get an erection. I have shaved my pubes for over 30 years and would not have it any other way. I usually don't even carry my towel in the wet area not showering between the use of these is also not normal.

I would say this is possibly normal. Not all guys do this. I get hard when I'm in the gym changing room, but have my towel around so no one actually see that I'm hard. I don't walk around naked if I'm hard. Don't stress about it dude. Just undress and get out of there if it bothers you. It should only bother you If they are looking at other guys and wanting to do something which would make them possibly a little gay so to speak. I don't really care if another guy sees me naked. It's nothing new to them or something they haven't seen before- after all, every guy has a penis! So what the heck. All the difference is that some are longer, shorter, etc. As for them shaving their pubes, its just a preference some guys have. So don't stress about it.

It's due to the increased blood flow, same as when a man achieves an erection out of sexual desire.

If they're not making sexual inuendo about it, ignore it. But, even though I'm a woman, I would be embarrassed seeing all those hard schlongs dangling about, too.

When I go to the gym, the women are the same way, but I change in a stall.
